Hi All, so im just wondering if anyone has used only replacement shakes & duromine together & if so what was the weightloss time frame like? This is my 11th day on it & ive only been having 3 optifast shakes daily & 2L of water since my start date. I havent been able to exercise at all as my ankles have been giving me grief i cant walk without them being in pain & ive put it done to being small built but overweight. Ive lost a few KG so far but it feels very gradual... Im not sure if this is a good thing? If anyone can answer my question it would be much appreciated. :) thanks! And goodluck to all of you out there on your weightloss journeys.

Hello Lilykins. I am not a fan of replacement shakes, so I won’t be able to tell you much of my experience. I don’t have any. However, I know many people who had to struggle a lot harder when they returned to their usual nutrition after finishing with the shakes. You have to imagine, how you will deal with that in future, when you’re off Duromine. Have you considered using shakes as a trigger to your weight loss and then continuing with a healthy nutrition, or your plan is to use the shakes all the time while you’re on Duromine?

If you find it hard to walk because of your ankles, you might try some static exercises that won’t involve them. You can make pushups on your knees, same thing with the plank on your knees. You also can do various abs exercises that don’t imply any load on the ankles. You can bend your body both sides while sitting on a chair, turn it both sides, stretch your spine muscles while sitting and reaching your arms in front of yourself If you don’t have dumbbells, fill two bottles with water and give your arms a good workout while sitting on the chair. All these will help you get your body toned and your muscles will start working and helping you burn calories.

Any loss is fantastic! Congrats on that! Hope on hearing from you very soon with some great news!

Hey thank you so much for your reply, I will definitely be taking your advice on the exercises and will see what works for me so I can start that up. As for the shakes its basically because I had them sitting in my cupboard prior to going on duromine, $100 worth infact. So I thought I'd use them up, but havent bothered to eat anything else since I started duromine. The first 3 days was the hardest but I do still find that I get slightly hungry throughout the day. I have thought about the long run and I know that nobody can live off replacement shakes for the rest of there lives so Im thinking once Ive been back to the Dr tomorrow for my two week check in I'll ask him for some advice around introducing food and see what he can recommend. I shall let you know how much journey progresses and hopefully I can shed these kilos with ease and again thanks for the response :)

Lilykins, it’s great you are going to discuss your eating regime with your doctor. I am sure you need a healthy approach. Either way, I don’t see any problem in using such meal replacement shakes once in a while, when you don’t have time to cook a proper meal. Everything’s better than grabbing junk snacks.

You also might be hungry because of the fact that you’re only drinking, while your body, mind and conscious are used to eating and chewing something. Let’s see what your doc suggests and hope you will start being active once you get to normal food. Fingers crossed for a great and healthy weight loss!

Hello Lilykins. How is it going? It’s almost 3 weeks since you’ve started Duromine. How do you feel? DO you stick to any eating regime and exercise well? I hope you are doing everything you can to lose weight and are proud of yourself for this. =) If you need any advice or support, I am here for you! Have a great day!

Hi Lilykins. SO your Duromine month is over, right? Any progress? How do you feel? I wonder, if you are planning to continue the full 3-month course, or are going to stop now with Duromine? Good luck and looking forward to your updates! Have a great weekend!
