hi. This is my 2nd day on D. I asked my gp for a script last year after piling on 4 kg on a cruise last march...then being totally lazy and self indulgent. i have never had a weight problem before but have recently gone thru menopause and i think my metabolism is shot. Also i got into the terrible habit of drinking wine with my partner every evening...and so have put on about 8kg so far. May not sound a lot but im only 160 cms and the weight is very noticable....especially around my tummy. Im determined to get back to my usual 55kgs and im so hoping the D will be the kickstart i need. So today is day 2...i weighed in yesterday morning at 63kg. Didnt sleep at all last night but strangely feel great today. Im very motivated and excited...i want to wear all the nice clothes in my wardrobe that dont fit...and i also want to look nice for my partner. I must mention that i hate exercise...so im hoping i can do this just by counting calories. Im going to Melbourne for the weekend with my partner so im quite nervous about eating out and hoping i can resist drinking too many glasses of bubbles!!...Also im very impatient...i want the weight gone yesterday. Im so happy to have found this forum and have enjoyed reading all your stories...will keep you all posted...CHEERS cassie

Day 3...Had a great sleep Thank God!!...no other side effects besides having no apetite and having to force myself to eat. Im remaining extremely positive. Thought id mention that i have bi polar disorder and am on 3 different medications..so far all good. i did notice while scrolling through the forum quite a few ppl on anti depressants...me too!! I have tried in the past to go off my meds but just cant live a quality life without them. I have a great doctor and psychiatrist and they are very supportive. In the past..while trying to find the right meds for me..i have tried many that put on weight. At one time i was actually 80kgs..which on a small person like me is huge!! So with the right advice a balance is possible. I know i shouldnt weigh myself every day but couldnt resist...down 1.5 kgs in 3 days!! great motivation boot. CHEERS will keep you posted

Day 5. Had a fantastic 10 hour sleep after a previous night of 2 hours. feel great this morning, weighed in at 59.1 kgs...so a loss of 3.1 so far. Very happy with that.As i only have a 1 month script i feel i need to really give it my best shot...I Have been very strict with my diet... a real craving for fruit and vegetables..but i also know i dont drink enough water. Bit of a coffee addict actually which probably contributes to my restless nights. Im off to Melbourne this weekend with my partner and im very nervous about the restaurant meals and the temptation of alcohol!! Alcohol was the reason for my weight gain in the first place so fingers crossed. Will keep you updated on monday...CHEERS
