Day Two of being on the Duromine tablet.
I noticed I didn't sleep as well as usual last night, and that my heart rate seems to higher as well (my Fitbit has a HR moniter). Neither of those bother me too much, but I'll be mindful of the increased HR as I was told I have a slight heart murmur about two months ago.
As it was a public holiday today, i didn't have to go to work! I slept in a little bit, and after getting up, having my breakfast & tablet, it was getting quite muggy and humid. I wanted to go for a walk, but I really don't handle the heat too well (why am I living in QLD?!). I messaged one of my friends, and she mentioned she was going to the gym! I was suprised it was open considering it was a public holiday, but I got really excited and decided to go and do a workout. I am currently doing Kayla Itsines '12 Week Challenge' and am up to week 3, so I got to catch up with that. I started off on the treadmill for about 20mins before doing 'Abs & Arms' (30min workout) & the weekly challenge (10mins) before jumping back on the treadmill to cool down. I definitely felt the burn of the workouts!
I had half a leg ham in my fridge which I was going to bake today, and thought I'd get adventurous with a salad to go with it. I had some pumpkin & pine nuts, so i steamed the pumpkin and added it with the toasted pine nuts to some spinach, red onion & feta. Teamed with the baked ham, it was so amazing!
I was very surprised that after my big workout and pottering around the house cooking and cleaning, that I wasn't hungry in the slightest! I ended up having a small tub of yogurt in the afternoon to get my kilojoules up & had my ham and salad dinner early, around 5.30pm.
I still felt energized at 6.15pm, so took my dog for a 50min walk. I felt like I had a great day & was feeling fantastic as well! I hope days like this continue.
