Hi there I am new to this site and was looking for somewhere to blog about my Duromine journey and to read other's experiences on this medication! Whoo hoo! so glad I found it!
I am coming up to my second weigh in (tomorrow) since I started Duromine (so technically week 2) and am nervous and excited about what the scales will show!!
I have never in my life tried medication to lose weight but I just couldn't seem to have the willpower to shift it any other way! My first few days of Duromine were fine. After reading all the side effects and other people's horror stories I was really scared! but all I experienced was dry mouth, a slight headache the first day and an awareness of my heart beat. No feeling of being "speedy"..in fact..I think it has actually calmed me and made me far more positive in my outlook!
So I started at 83.3kg. Last weeks Weigh in for Week 1 was 79.7kg. That is a loss of 3.6kg. Was pretty wrapped with that one! Goal for week 2 weigh in is 78.7 (so 1kg) so am hoping I get this when I step on the scales tommorow!!
I have always been a gym rat so have continued to work out most days including at least 30 minutes of running. Find I sweat a lot more and that my heart rate is generally more elevated, but nothing uncomfortable. In terms of my diet I have been making sure that I eat three small meals with 1-2 snacks in between. I find that I do get hungry on Duromine (probably not as much however)...especially if I have had a big workout...but I do find that when I do eat I get full very quickly and do not crave bad foods. My portions are considerably smaller and I think this is why I have been dropping mad weight!!
Well thanks for reading and wish me luck for tomorrow! I will be back to report!
