week 7 - Duromine journey over

Went to the GP on Tuesday for script...blood pressure was high, so not allowed anymore :(:(
But on the upside I am still losing weight...weigh in this morning 89.5 so doing a happy dance :p:p:p back into the 80's. That was a 600 gram loss and total of 7.6 kilos lost while on duromine. 2.4 kilo's to go and I'm halfway to goal.
So now it's the old fashioned way of keep watching what I eat, and get on the tready.
I'm going to keep blogging - hubby is still on the duromine, his loss's have been less than mine, so will be interesting to see what happens here on in.

Haha I was doing the happy dance last week :p It feels good doesn't it ;)

You know what? We all have to eventually go off it anyway, your just doing so a little bit earlier. Sux but you can still do it. You've already had 7 weeks on it :) and I'm pretty sure they say it's 3 weeks to break/create a habbit. Let's just work on that asumption aye cos it works in your favour :p It's awesome that your hubby is still on it cos you can judge your cravings on how he is also feeling maybe? Might even end up being more successful for you than if you both stopped D at the same time??

TOTALLY keep blogging!!! I'm really keen to watch your progress now your off Duromine. We are still all here for the same reason and the support is motivatingly awesome ;)

Keep up the great work and effort!!! :)

Xx

What was classified as high blood pressure ? Like was it heaps high ?

It doesn't matter Jane. .whatever it was it was too high after 3 readings for my GP to prescribe another script, to do so would have been negligent on his part.. I am 50 years old...always had perfect blood pressure. I have put on 25 kilo's in 2 years. It may have been the duromine that sent my blood pressure up, it may be the additional weight, it may be some stress I have had recently. But regardless I am not going to dance with the devil...my duromine journey is over. I am just thankful I have a responsible GP. I have had a great kick start.:)
I want to be happy...thanks for your support. Yes I have had a few carb cravings this week, but then I'm heading into TTOM...I get that anyways on duromine. or not :) As said I will keep posting ...good luck to you both on reaching our own goals.
