Whoo Hooooooo WEEK 16 and going STRONG.....Lipids, Unlimited Veggies,honey, syrup and jam, count as a fruit portion...WHAT A LEARNING WEEK IT HAS BEEN

Hi ALL!!!

Well it is day 5 of week 16 for me, and I have already forgotten about the past 15 weeks of ups and downs on this journey...I am at a whole NEW level of fittness, and understanding Nutrition and WHAT MY body needs to function 100% on a daily bases ...

Nutrition :

I am busy doing a short course in Nutrition Science ,wow mind blowing, I recommend it for everyone. To learn more about your body, and the food you NEED to eat and the food YOUR body actually WANTS , and NEEDS AS FUEL, to give you the BEST out of your day, mentally and physically is MIND BLOWING ....Most of did "Health " at school but how quickly we forget , as time goes on and more junk food is out there displayed for us too see at such cheap prices ,and convenience we tend to grab for it ,and I am not speaking of Macca's or pizza only I am speaking of "healthy " foods on the shelves that contain far to much salt and sugar , and not enough vitamins and minerals for our daily fuel intake needs ,and the GOOD ,HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS YUMMY FOOD is actually NOT that expensive , if you prepared to take the time to research your neighbourhood shops for the RIGHT foods at the RIGHT price for you .....I have been thinking all along that I have been making good food choices for my family and I , and I have not been to far off track, but knowing just that little bit more about label reading, {well more like taking the time to READ the label}lol ...I have also come to realise that I do NOT need to DEPRIVE myself or ELIMINATE CERTAIN GOOD FOODS FROM MY DIET either... It is more about categorizing my food groups than banning them from my life for good or temporarily...HOW HAPPY WAS I TO DISCOVER, I could still eat jam , jelly and Honey and Syrup on my toast, or scone , pancake ... and yes a pancake !!! made of egg and banana, not flour !!....

Exercise:

Well Boot Camp 101 has been proving to be crazy hard MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY, but the reward so far is just amazing and I see and feel the transformation slow and steady ....

I discovered , I have more muscles in my upper body than I ever knew I had ,lol .
I discovered, I can push myself to a mental place ,I did NOT know I was capable of .
I discovered , I could ,and can say NO ! "not now ",to others when it is" ME TIME"
I discovered, I LIKE sweating hahaha for results.
I dIscovered, I LOVE myself enough to HELP myself become healthy and fit ,and gain knowledge .
I discovered, I THRIVE on NEW challenges , and my body shows better results for it that way .

I now HOPE to discover that I am able to endure this challenge I set myself this week, and the weeks to come ,and that I achieve the short and LONG term goals I have set myself for life ..
I have also come to accept, that WOBBLES come our way, and sometimes we really can NOT do ANYTHING about them, or be in CONTROL of the situations that arise, BUT I CAN ALWAYS TRY MY BEST TO BE IN CONTROL of ME what I think, eat and do ....
This remains my MOST DIFFICULT CHALLENGE but IT IS DOABLE ...ONE DAY AT A TIME ...

I cannot wait to measure myself.... I have no problem with GAINING muscle and cm because of Muscle...Muscle is a GOOD thing, it is my FRIEND ... LOL

Seeing my body taking on an actual "shape" NOT A BALL, OR SQUARE.OR RECTANGLE shape ,but legs, arms, tummy, neck, butt, contours and lines that are supposed to be "shaped " the way they were when I was born ,hahahah ...Gone are my days of saying "but round is a shape " NO , balls are round not people ... The joke was on me ... now I look forward to chiseling away at the round blob I CREATED , and becoming the "perfect " shape GOD CREATED ME TO BE ...
MAY YOU ALL HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEK, AND I TRULY HOPE YOU ARE ALL DOING WELL THIS WEEK, AND IF YOU ARE CHALLENGED, JUST KEEP GOING... NEVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF ,AND ALWAYS LOG IN TO THIS GROUP ON A DAILY BASES, YOU ALL HELP ME MORE THAN YOU KNOW....

I AM OFF NOW TO ENJOY MY UNLIMITED VEGGIES post workout ...C ya !!

Hi Leigh did you down load my fitness pal... I use this app everyday...it great when you are shopping as it has a bar code scanner I never go shopping with out using this as I can instantly check the calories on any food item it's fantastic :) I learnt to read the food labels many years ago to check sugars fats anfd carbs it's a great habit to get into .. However I did tern a blind eye to the labels for a few years lol :eek: anyway I thought this maybe of intrest to you.. Have a fabulous week wishing you a lighter scale :)
