After 3 months on Duromine I have lost 15kgs!!!!
I just can't believe it and how happy I am. I still have weight to lose as I'm still not in the healthy weight range yet for my health but I'll keep on trucking on and get there.
I've had my struggles over these past 3 months (mainly giving up my daily glass of wine with dinner) but I only had one focus and that was to lose weight and get healthy.
Besides looking like a completely different person, the unexpected highlight of losing all this weight is that my Rheumatoid Arthritis has gone into remission due to the extra weight to burdoning my joints.
I credit my weight lost to date to one thing (besides Duromine and this forum) and that's NO EXCUSES!!!!
The past 3 months Ive concentrated on portion control, learning about foods, and eliminating crap from my diet. The next 3 months I would like to add exercise to my life which will help me lose the other kgs I still need to lose.
There's a spring in my step now that hasn't been there for years and by god it feels good

Wow what a massive CONGRATULATIONS you deserve and absolutely amazing results well done hard work and persistence really does pay off and you are proof of that! Does this mean no more duromine for you?

Bringingskinnyback
Congratulations!!!!!!!

Perfect example that slow and steady weight loss pays off if you stick to it. Hopefully others see your success and don't get discouraged that they don't lose super unrealistic weightloss each week. Small consistent weightloss adds up in the end, worked for you and me! Bet your having fun clothes shopping because all your old clothes don't fit anymore;)

Thank you LetsDoThis :)
It certainly has been hard work and persistence.
I'm going to try my luck again for another prescription with my GP. Am hopeful because I'm still not in my healthy weight range, it's working for me, I'm not suffering from massive side effects, and I'm not showing signs of dependancy. But failing that I still have 16 pills left which I can make last another month if I choose.

Thankyou BringingSkinnyBack
I couldn't agree with you more about the slow and steady. It's about changing habits along the way so we can maintain for a life time.
New clothes are just the best aren't they ;):p:laughing:

Awesome effort, and it shows in your consistent losses. I hope you will continue your blog updates, and I hope to read soon how your maintenance is going.

Thanks Kezza :)
I've still got 15 tablets left (cos I skiped a day every now and again) so I'm going to try taking them every second day now so they can last a 4th month ;). I'm still in the over weight category so am still wanting to loose some more kgs
I will deffinately keep blogging because it helps me stay on track and keep accountable

Thank you Hustlin Mama :) I'm actually still going to be on duromine. I went to the dr this morning and he prescribed me a 4th month. I was totally prepared for him to say 'No' but I was hopeful he would say 'Yes' because it's working for me and I'm doing it in a healthy way and it made sense to get another months worth because I'm still not in the healthy weight range for my height. What surprised me the most was that he said he would give me a 5th month after I've finished this one as my last prescription. It's mind blowing how different doctors think different things.o_O

Wow that's awesome very lucky to have a Dr who is willing to look at the whole picture and take into account you are loosing weight in a healthy manner I know my Dr is dead set on 3 month limit due to the health risks (although I am completely healthy other than extra weight). So instead of loosing weight steadily I have to decide between loosing as much weight as possible in 3 months, or loosing it in a way I can continue after my duromine prescriptions.

When I started 3 months I fully only expected to be on it only three months. Either way, I wouldn't change anything I did. My whole focus the entire time was to completely change my eatting habits and how I thought of food. Slow and steady wins the race ;)
