Friday night I decided to go and buy a Fitbit as a bit of extra motivation and also because I was curious about my quality of sleep since when I seem to get the reccomended amount of sleep I don’t really feel any better than when I get 4 hours.
Yesterday was my first day of using it and I managed to do 10,094 steps, walk 6.35km and burn 3300 calories. I did mow my lawn twice (it was pretty long to begin with) and run around cleaning my yard up too (we have a dog that likes to tear stuff up and scatter it all over the yard). I only ate about 635cals for the day which I know is below the reccomended amount but I was so flat out that I didn’t get time for lunch so I pretty much made this up with dinner and a snack.
I’m excited to see how my days progress with the use of the Fitbit. I love how it tells me the intensity of my activity throughout the day. Usually when I mow the lawn I take it slow (yard is on a hill) but yesterday I kept checking my Fitbit and started pushing myself to go faster and ended up doing most of it at a “very intense” rate according to my Fitbit.
