Mirror, mirror on the wall

This weekend I purchased a full length mirror and installed it in my walk in robe.
To many this would not seem like a great deal, BUT, for me it is.
I have always been uncomfortable with looking at images of myself. I have been overweight (obese) for so long and have been embarrassed. We have lived in our current house for 14 years and I have only had my bathroom mirror.
Now that I have lost 20 kilos I am feeling so much better about myself. I still have a long way to go but people are noticing and I have a greater pride in my appearance. The mirror is a sign that my self esteem has taken a huge boost.
Before I would throw on my elastic waisted pants and a big top in an effort to cover up. Not having a mirror meant that I did not need to look at myself and feel ashamed. Now I am embracing my shape. I am proud of what I am achieving and am starting to wear more fitted clothing and more colour. I want to check how things look before I venture out. I am definitely not vain but I am feeling good about myself.
Watch out when the next 20 kilos come off!
Now if only I could do something about the wrinkles too.
