Hi, I was prescribed Duromine yesterday and have started it this morning (geez the price of this stuff is steep) any ways. I have just finished 2 years of full time studying and i am now overweight (well obese category of BMI). I am so nervous i have tried so many things and nothing has worked and this is so pricey i am hoping i did not waist my money. I get its my first day and i am only 3 hours in but i don't feel any different as everyone says they feel it instantly. I need this to work as i am literally at a loss my weight is causing so much issues with my life and my self esteem. I have no friends as i have no confidence and I have no energy as nothing i have tried has worked literally every day i step on the scales it raises in numbers that now i am so scared to even look i feel like it is a circle of weight gain- feeling that crap i cant move- having no energy as i am so overweight- and just hating myself- then looking at the scales again. my boyfriend wont admit it but it has caused a whole lot of issues with us and i just need this to work so bad.
is it normal not to feel anything in the first 3 hours?
Is the money worth it?
what should i be doing to assist with the weight loss?
I am literally so lost right now!

Hey Billie,
Thanks for sharing. My heart goes out to you, and i can definetly relate.
What mg are you on?
I started taking 15mg daily 16 days ago and have now lost 5kgs, although i have found that i have to keep moving, and restrict my callories. Its hard practicing self controll and I really have to challange my thoughts. I know ppl who have been sussessfull on duromine and they all tell me its not a miracle cure altho it really helps in achieving weightloss goals. I dont have many side effects but the more aware i am of what i am actually putting into my body, the less i want to eat. I ate as i normally would for tge first 5 days and i saw very minor improvment, since i have ramped up my my motivation, and set my commitment, i have seen improvement every day. My confidence is growing and i feel sexier. Set your intentions and make it happen. You can do this sister. X

Billie, please, stop being nervous! It’s one of the main motives people overeat. Your task now is to calm down, sit down and make up a good weight loss plan for yourself. You need to set realistic goals and go in the right direction. C’mon, you know you can do it. No one else should determine the way you want to look like and nothing should be stopping you from getting where you want to get.

To your question. Not every person feels the same on Duromine, especially at the beginning. It might take even several days for your body to get accustomed to the fact that you’re taking it. Give it some time to start working. In the meantime, relax and set your mind for becoming a better version of yourself. =)) Best of luck!

Hey Billie, I totally know what you mean! I started taking Duromine 4 days ago (took me about a week before I actually filled my prescription!) and I was extremely nervous as well! But, luckily, I have had almost no side effects, and from what I've read, any side effects you first get usually go away within 5 days.

How have you been going with it since you first started? Do you feel any better? Feel free to message/start a conversation with me, we can do this together & help motivate each other!

I hope to hear from you :)
Amy

Hello Billie. How is it going? Have been wondering how you are doing and if you are still following your goal. I wish you a good weight loss progress and a lot more confidence in yourself. Be strong and keep fighting!
