I finally went and bought myself some new pants. I HATE shopping for pants.
Six months ago I was squeezing into a size 20 from Autograph (a plus size store)
The style is my favourite as it is a plain pant and has a nice stretchy, comfortable fabric, in black. Goes with everything. I wear them most days and have several, in various lengths.
Since then I have had to get some in an 18 and they have been getting looser.
For my birthday I got a voucher for Westfield so I ventured in to purchase some more and they only had sizes 12 or 20. Disappointed I left the store and decided to look in Katies (a regular size store) not terribly confident as the shape is somewhat different they tend to be a bit more shaped around the waist and I need a little more around there. Anyway they had some nice pants very similar to the ones I get from Autograph (I think they are owned by the same parent company) but only had smaller sizes, many size 12 and one in a 14. I was feeling decidedly brave so I though I would give them a go and try them on.
Imagine my delight when they fit perfectly!!!!
Size 14 in a regular store!!!!
I bought two pair. One in a 3/4 length and one above the knee.
I have worn them since.
I have not even considered wearing a 14 in several years.
No going back now.
