Hi all,
So as some of you know this week has been a challenge not only mentally but physically, {internally , in the stomach region } as well. lol .... I have added fibre to my diet , I eat lentils, and veggies , and fruit ,and get my fibre that way but I added muesli to my diet this week for breakfast to just have a bit of a change from eggs, smoothies, soup etc.. I ate muesli every morning for three days, by the third day my tummy felt like it had a rock inside it, not fun at all, despite all my water intake, exercise, and primrose oil , this "rock " would not budge.. Decided to stop eating the organic muesli , had a boiled egg for breakkie , with some herbal tea, and took my meds and vitamins as usual with in an hour my "rock" had passed through my system...Been going well ever since , so to not eat the muesli at all ? or to only have it twice a week ? I do not suffer with gluten, or IBS, just wondering if it could be the one ingredient I am not familiar with in the muesli, Spelt , do not know it , could it be the culprit ? ..anyway would love some advice on this, otherwise I will be going back to good old weetabix and oats ...

Almost the same thing happened to me on oats o_O weird...because oats suppose to improve your digestion, I am still being careful with it LOL. Maybe it is individual. For some people muesli is good, for others - not. I think we all have too many slags in our bodies, so sometimes certain foods wouldn't "move" like they should in our intestines... But, yes - i think you should avoid it or eat it twice a week and see how it comes. I like your diet and I think you're moving in the right direction. Stay healthy!

I'd keep away from the musli Leigh ... Not worth the grief lots of other ways to get the nutrients you need especially if you have IBS ... Have a great week :)

Thank you Kate and "Shelly is me "... I have taken the muesli out of my diet plan for good, I went back to good old weetbix ,as I have never had issues with it , so far so good, I am just wondering if, the constipation could have caused me not losing weight this week, ? could it have caused me to retain water ? as my fingers have been very swollen this week , which is not something I am familiar with ,the only time my hands and fingers swell is when I exercise by walking on the treadmill now and again..but this was when I was doing nothing at all...
