Week 12 weigh in - getting close now

Hopped on the scales yesterday and the numbers are OK but not fantastic. 101.5 kg a total of 15.5 kg lost so far. It is slow going now, only 0.9 kg lost this week. I really need to put a bomb under myself to get under the magic 100.
In good news though.... I have had 14 days in a row where I have reached my movement goals! I did set them quite low at 6000 steps, but when I began I was not even getting close to this so it is a great achievement for me. My movement tracker is great motivation and if I haven't reached my goal by dinner time I just hop on the treadmill until I have. I am keen to get on my bike and some days I have smashed my goals by 200%, most days it is around 8000. It is just school days (Monday & Tuesday) I struggle. I think it is time I increased my target to 8000 steps, yikes. Soon I will be doing the recommended 10,000 steps without an issue.
I hope everyone has a great week
Sharon xoxo

PS My signature was getting way too long so I have condensed it. Focusing now on the big picture rather than a week to week tally.

Start Weight: 117 kg (17 June 2014)
Current Weight : 101.5 (-15.5)
Goal Weight: 65 kg

Great effort Sharon 15.5 kg loss ..you will be in doubled digits next week :) I feel it ;) I never thought of having movement goals...it's a great idea.. I have just been walking on the walker for 40-45 mins every day.. Which is about 3.5 km ... It's all I can manage at the moment most of it I do up hill I do sweat & my heart rate is up so I hope it's working  ?. Are you still on the Duromine I see you have reached 12 weeks if you are is you GP allowing you to stay on it longer ? I'm interested as I'm coming up to 12 weeks as well ....I'm having a 2 week break while I go to Fiji starting next Thursday. However I want to get back on it when I come home as I still have so much to lose.

Yes I am still on the Duromine. My doctor gave me 40mg for month 4 (up from 30mg). I still have 3 weeks of 40mg and 2 of 30mg left as I have had a day off here and there. I need to have a break after that but only because I have to see an endocrinologist about my thyroid and the blood work I need done requires that I am off the D for two weeks. He will then put me back on if the endocrinologist agrees. I may have to go onto thyroxine though and the doc thinks that this will help with weight loss (I'm not convinced). If you are having two week break while you are in Fiji, I think, your doctor should give you another script when you get back.
I definitely need movement goals. I am lazy (efficient ). If i did not have movement goals, I just would not get enough exercise. I have a Misfit tracker and it is such great motivation to move. If my progress is not great I make myself go on the treadmill until all my little dots have lit up. I have read that you should do 10,000 steps a day. When I started with the tracker I was not even getting close to half of that. I am gradually increasing my target and am now up to 8000. I like to hit my goals and have them achievable. I do over 10,000 3 or 4 days a week and will increase my target again when I am regularly getting this 5 days a week.

this is fantastic, so happy for YOU !! shellyisme... YOU are seriously doing very well, and it is such a wake up call when you realize how few steps you do a day when u not aware of it, we think because we going up stairs or vacuuming, or house cleaning we doing loads of movement, not so.. Did the 10 ooo step challenge in 2007 and won a gym membership back then, IT WAS a gr8 motivator, just sorry how quickly I lost interest , STAYING with it after I was at goal weight, Found my SPEEDOMETER and walk for life book in a box in the garage, and started tracking my steps again ..Thanks for the gr8 reminder, and your motivation inspires me much ... not sure either if the Thyroxine will move huge kg of fat for you ,as mine has not done it for me thus far, but at least the weight is coming off steadily, and the thyroid meds, is really just to keep your body stable and balanced , so it does in effect help the weight loss along, with YOUR hard work of exercise and eating ... KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DOING ,love your posts ..
