My 6 Days on Duromine so far...

Why I started Duromine: As a child I experienced some back pain but I remained a normal weight. About 3-4 years ago I weighed 55kg. My back pain became worse, accompanied with me eating out more I gained a fair bit of weight. Feb 2011 before I got pregnant with my daughter I weighed 70kg. My back pain increased whilst pregnant and my weight at 9 months pregnant was 85kg (Nov 2011). After having my daughter it was even worse and I decided it wasn’t going to go away and there was obviously something making it hurt. But my “family doctor” said it was because I was overweight and had bad posture. So I joined a gym! I couldn’t even go a few minutes on the cross trainer without being in pain. Tried doing this for about 6 months and gave up. I wasn’t losing weight and my pain was increasing but my doctor insisted I was fine -.- I work in a physical job and lately I have been in too much pain to go to work every day and I knew then I needed to get another opinion. Saw a new doctor and a physio and they’ve diagnosed me with Curvature of the spine (Lordosis), Degenerating Spinal Discs, Bulged Disc, Sciatica pain and muscle spasms. All fixable with time, daily back, hip, shoulder exercises and expensive physio appointments haha. Turns out im not allowed to exercise as I could be doing more harm then good. So lots of walking for me. BUT I have to lose weight as it is making it worse. So I asked my doctor how I am meant to lose weight if I cant exercise and she booked me with a dietician and gave me a script for Duromine 30mg. Oh and Valium and pain killers haha.
