I haven't been on here for ages. I stopped Duromine to do an IVF cycle, which unfortunately ended in an ectopic. The IVF made me out on a bit of weight, mainly fluid, about 3kg. But besides that I kept off the weight I had lost on Duromine.

I had to wait for 3 months to do another IVF cycle so with my doctor's go ahead I took my last 6 weeks of Duromine. I took 30mg every day, I decided not to skip days to see if it made a change, I don't think it did. So I reckon if you can skip days go ahead and save some money.

I stopped taking it last week, I was down to 73kg. I didn't have any withdrawl. I got weighed today and I am 71. I start stims for this IVF cycle tomorrow.

I have also been taking Zoladex and Femara and continued to lose weight on those. Previously Zoladex has made me gain weight, but I think that was because I took it with Tamoxifen. Breast cancer drugs DO change your metabolism and make you gain weight, but hey it beats having cancer. I've been in remission since 2009 and plan to stay that way.

I am extremely happy with how Duromine has helped me achieve a healthy, balanced diet and lose weight. It has helped me form better habits which I hope to keep for life. It's not a miracle drug but it helped me.

I have arthritis which restricts the ammount of exercise I can do. I basically can't do any unless I want to suffer. I can manage a half hour walk every 2nd day but I've found I can use a cross trainer for about 15 mins a day because they're zero impact. I think that helped with a plateau I had. Lesson learnt, you don't need to exercise yourself into the ground for it to have an impact. A bit of light exercise is enough.

Anyhoo, good luck everyone. Here's a pic of me last week, I am 171cm tall and in the pic I am 73kg.
