With much trepidation this morning I jumped on the scales on Day 7 & barely dared to look.
**Squeal** 84.7kg!
That's a 1.9kg loss. I am SO HAPPY.
In all honesty, I have tried many diets etc before & I've never really lost much weight, nor have I really, properly stuck to them...I was worried this was going to be another failed last ditch attempt (even though, for the FIRST TIME EVER, I have done the right thing all week & no crap food has passed my lips for days).
Last night at work I was rudely reminded of how my weight is affecting my health, when my already dodgy knee decided I moved it wrong, searing in pain, resulting in a bit of a hobble-like-shuffle-walk. Ice & elevation when I got home. All is good, I'm tough, but I am hopeful when I am carrying less weight my knee issue may not resolve completely but it'll be a hell of a lot better.
If I can continue 1 kilogram - 1.5 kilogram losses every week I will be ecstatic!
Some days I am walking for an hour (6 kilometres) in the morning, then another 45 minutes in the evening (another 4km's). Other days, I just do the hour. I've been doing this for about 4 or 5 weeks now. The blisters on my toes and ankles from new shoes, the sore feet....It has got to be worth something. With the combination of duro, I reckon it is.
I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I am already imagining myself fitting back into dresses I am 10 kilo's too heavy for...
