Tomorrow is the end of my first month of duromine. I'm excited to weigh in tomorrow morning as I feel that this week I have really noticed feeling lighter-despite not taking my pill for 3/7 days and eating pizza twice!! Eek! I can notice my body shrinking, slowly but surely! I started at 86.8kg almost 4 weeks ago, and at the three week mark I had lost 5.1kg. If I hit the 6kg mark tomorrow I will be in the 80 point something's, with the following week hopefully meaning in the 70s-which was my first mini goal. I start to feel really good once I'm at 76kg. I STILL haven't done any exercise....I keep meaning to. Maybe next week.

I have this terrible habit of weighing every day but it does keep me on track and get me excited. I never take anything as gospel until actual weigh in day though. Yesterday I was 80.5. Today when I jumped on something AMAZING happened. It flickered to 79.9 then back up to 80.4. Now i know I'm not 79.9 but just to SEE that 70s number got me so so so excited!!!!

Weighing myself daily is my weakness also! But I know what you mean when you see a flash of a number you haven't seen in so long you get sooo excited!!

Congrats Hun! Your hard work is paying off! :)

Hi everybody,
I am waiting for my blood test results for my thyroid and it's very likely that my gp will put me on Duromine if the Thyriode is ok. She said that if it isn't ok I cannot take Duromine.
About this pill, i took something similar in my country a few years ago and I lost around 20 kilos. But of course I haven't change my life stile. Now I am in Australia and I started to eat healthier and I am also a vegetarian, but still eat fish seafood and egs and cheese.
So, talk to you soon.
Thank you

Best of luck! Hope your thyroid is ok.

Today I got my blood test results (the ones I was meant to have before I started taking Duro-woops!)
Doctor said my cholersterol is better than anyone he normally sees, and there's nothing wrong with my iron, vit D, B12 or thyroid. Super stoked. He was also happy to see I have lost 6kg.
So he happily handed over my next prescription for my second month.
!!

Hello - I started this morning (29 June 2015). I'm 92kg and need to get down to around 65kg. I've been prescribed the 15mg pill but only for 3 months. Within 1 hour of taking the tablet, my mouth was so dry. So far I've eaten very little, but had some coffee and tea. I have a tuna salad for later today, but so far just haven't felt like food. I'm just really thirsty.

My head does feel a little loopy though. Not sure if I like this feeling, but it could be that I'm confused: I feel like I have more energy and I am not used to that - I'm used to being sluggish and irritable - so maybe this is just a good side effect I need to get a grip on.

For the better part of this year I've been a couch potato so starting this week I plan to get into a habit of walking on a treadmill at the gym at lunch time.

I've tried all the diets out there, and once got down to 62kg, but it wasn't sustainable. I'm hoping this will help me achieve my goals. Please let me not fail at this too! Anyway, I'll be trawling this site, reading people's experiences and hope that I become one of the inspirational stories too.

Good luck lovely!
You can get enough protein from beans, eggs, cottage cheese, nuts and some veggies as well. So I believe you can achieve great weight loss without damaging your muscles.

thank you all!
so, my blood test for Thyroid is very good and i have received my first prescription for Duromine 30 mg.
I will buy it tmr. by the way, i saw so many prices. How much did you pay for the Duromine 30 mg?
Thank you

I don't get to weigh officially until Saturday, but I did weigh tonight and I'm what I weighed last week on Saturday morning but at night, so that's encouraging because I always weigh more at night time.
Been so incredibly thirsty lately but that is only side effect.
I thought I would post a pic, 6.3kg difference. I would of thought I would see more of a change :( guess I should start that exercise.....

I see a great result :p
It depends on what you are looking at - the belly looks bigger when it's full with food (sorry for the details). So, sometimes the numbers on the scales are more indicative.

Holy Dooley, I've had this packet of Duromine since February and was too scared to take it after all the bad feedback I've heard! I took my first 30mg this morning at 8 am and the energy I have I havent felt since I took a naughty white powder back in the 80's! I have managed ALL my housework, dust, shutters, vacuuming, total bathroom clean x 2, mopping, sweeping and for gods sake I even mopped the back deck! Did I stop there I hear you ask? No I did not, I went shopping, cooked a meal ( low fat of course) pick my dad up to share said meal, then returned him home after. Did I stop there? Yep I'm buggered but my head won't tun off! This forum I shall bombard with all my insomniac thoughts....
My name is Karen and I'm 47 and have gained weight rapidly since I turned about 45. 15 kg in 2 years! This is going to be quite the journey but I hope to fit comfortably in a pretty Allahnah Hill dress I purchased to wear to Melbourne cup in November. I live in Newcastle nsw..
I hope my mind settles down over the next few days. I feel hyper alert and the next minute I wondering how to pull my pants down for a pee .... Yeehaa
Hi there can you please recommend a doctor around Newcastle who prescribed Duromine

Can't remeber which doctor prescribed it but it was at West Wallsend surgery. 2 weeks in and it's not doing what I had hoped . Getting hungry and really not stopping the want for food when I'm not hungry. Maybe need the 40's!

That is great. Keep up the good work. Good luck for tomorrows weigh in. T

Hahaha love your post! My first day today and exactly the same, lots of cleaning!

Hi quite ironic really . This is my first day since then that I have not taken duromine as the sleep deprivation has really taken its toll! I thought it would settle but it didn't . Unfortunately the side effects outweighed the benefits. Seems to me that I'm meant to remain fat unless I find a way to do this without will power. Please let me know if you find the idea easy way xx
