Hi there i just want to say that Duromine im 39 year old male and at my heaviest i was 176.6kg the first 3 months i was taking 40 mg once every 2 days and consuming between 1000-1200 calories per day i lost 14kgs in that time. Then i went and started to take the tablet every day and started doing 1 hour walks every day still at the same amount of calories of lost a further 13kgs for a further 3 months and in total lost 27kgs in the 6 months period. Hi Duraman,
Good luck with the program!
I lost 5 kilos in my first month. Today my GP prescribed me the second month. I am walking around 10.000 steps on my days off from work.
He told me that I can play with the tablet. That I can have a day /week without it. Also, I am measuring my self every Monday morning to see how many centimeters I've lost. Maybe you can do that as well.
All the best

Welcome & GOODLUCK.

I remember in the first week the energy bursts were pretty strong. On the treadmill twice a day, spring cleaning, vacuuming at 11pm. Week 5 now and that crazy energy is gone, still on the treadmill most days and my house is cleaner than normal.

Thank you! I've ordered an exercise bike thingy, just waiting for it to arrive, will be much easier to get more exercise in then! (I have 5 kids lol)

15/8/15 - day three

Sleep is for the weak right!? I think I had about 4-5 hours last night lol

Had some "sweet stuff" cravings last night, I managed to drink two 600ml bottles of water and distract myself from it, winning!

I cheated and weighed myself and did my measurements last night (I took them all the night before starting)
Have dropped Cm and kgs! Totally didn't expect to see any change yet, but my "comfy" pants kept falling down slightly - nice to see some change its given me even more motivation!

Weight- 101.7kg

Bust: 110cm
Waist: 96.5cm
Belly button: 114cm
Hips: 116cm
Thigh: 69cm
Arm: 39.5cm
Total - 542cm
(Loss of 20cm and 3.6kg)

Holy Dooley, I've had this packet of Duromine since February and was too scared to take it after all the bad feedback I've heard! I took my first 30mg this morning at 8 am and the energy I have I havent felt since I took a naughty white powder back in the 80's! I have managed ALL my housework, dust, shutters, vacuuming, total bathroom clean x 2, mopping, sweeping and for gods sake I even mopped the back deck! Did I stop there I hear you ask? No I did not, I went shopping, cooked a meal ( low fat of course) pick my dad up to share said meal, then returned him home after. Did I stop there? Yep I'm buggered but my head won't tun off! This forum I shall bombard with all my insomniac thoughts....
My name is Karen and I'm 47 and have gained weight rapidly since I turned about 45. 15 kg in 2 years! This is going to be quite the journey but I hope to fit comfortably in a pretty Allahnah Hill dress I purchased to wear to Melbourne cup in November. I live in Newcastle nsw..
I hope my mind settles down over the next few days. I feel hyper alert and the next minute I wondering how to pull my pants down for a pee .... Yeehaa
Ur so funny .. good luck babe x

Hi all,
Quick update after my first month.
Had a great few weeks and the 30mg has really helped me to get control of my eating habits.
It feels like freedom to me : ) - to finally feel like I have the ability to,choose what I eat as opposed to the gripping addiction I had suffered for many years.
I'm down 6kg after the first 4 weeks which I'm really happy about as I lose weight very slowly at the bestow times.
I noticed in week 4 that my body had adjusted to the medication (no appetite suppressing or extra energy) which I'm assuming is quite common and I had my doctor review yesterday.

I had already decided that I wanted to do just one more month - enough to hopefully see me back in the 80kg range.

Doctors was happy with that but has upped me to the 40mg due to the earlier mentioned problem and I will start taking that tomorrow.

Really happy with it so far but also looking forward to coming off them and having the control myself.

I am very happy for you buglegirl! Congratulations!
Do you feel strong enough to be able to control your eating habits without the pills after you finish the course? That would be great. My advice - take some vitamins after the treatment. As if you were still taking Duromine. Your body will still think you are on the pills and the effect may last longer. This helped me.

I lost my mojo after 3 weeks and no loss, lost my motivation, forgot a few days then stopped taking it all together. Went back to doc yesterday and he suggested upping my dose to 40mg and see how that goes. Will start on wednesday. He said if it doesn't work will try Xenical-has anyone tried this?

Hi I am fed up with being over weight and start tomorrow morning I have been put on 30mg. I plan to get up early around 6am exercise for around 45 minutes have breakfast - natural yoghurt oats and skim milk then start my first dose.... I have made a salad to take to work for lunch tomorrow.....I just hope this will work for me I need to lose around 30kg.....

Hi lea:)
You need to take your dose as early as you can as soon as you wake up. The later you have it the harder it will be to sleep. Then exercise and have your brekky. Drink lots of water eat clean and you'll get the results x

The name's Wynona.

I just got put on Duromine 15mg by my doc yesterday along with a very strict 1200 calorie diet. I started today my.doc.said he'll increase my dose after a month.

I am 23, weigh 142kg highest weight I've ever been.

I've decided to.grab this opportunity with both hands.

I can't exercise as I am recovering from a stage 2 ankle sprain Which resulted in a blood Clot in my leg.

Which is made worse by my weight.

Does anyone have any advice on what to expect during this journey?

I come from a thin family. No one understands my struggle. A little support would be nice.

Hi Wynona!

I just started Duromine on Friday 16th of October. Starting weight was 164.5kg, after having blood test done it was found that i was insulin resistant and that why i wasnt losing any weight even though i was doing heaps of exercise.

Since Friday i have dropped 2.8kg.

Good luck with your journey and hopefully we will both have an awesome result.
