"Taming the Hunger Beast " I came across this message today, and wanted to share it with you ALL too, it is good to be reminded .

"when we ignore the signals of hunger , fullness, skip meals, or only eat carbohydrates when we hungry, our appetite starts to resemble that of an insatiable beast".
Here are three easy steps to curb the beast and lose the weight :
1=STARVING
2=HUNGRY
3=JUST RIGHT
4=FULL
5=STUFFED

1. If you are 3 or higher, wait before you eat.Take a drink of water,and turn to work or an activity.Check the scale again in 20 minutes if it is still on your mind...{NOT THE SCALE IN THE BATHROOM, the 5 steps one ,lol}
2. Try to eat at least every 4-5 hours , every 3 hours is even better.This keeps your metabolism up and doesn't allow you to get to low on your hunger/fullness scale ,SKIPPING meals is a surefire way to bring out the hunger beast .Plan ahead ,and be prepared wit healthy meals and snack options.
3. Add more fibre to your diet , nuts ,fruit, veggies, and whole grains, to nibble on when you feel hungry,do not only eat carbohydrates,protein is better as it keeps you fuller for longer .
Tame your hunger beast , You will find losing weight will become easier as you avoid the extreme feelings of hunger that lead to binge eating and obsession with food .
