Ok, ok, I got the idea… you literally let the pan watch the oil while the meat was cooking on it, and that was about it. =)) Good! Love it! Btw, it just came into my mind… next time, to avoid the crumbs and everything bad that can be found in them… you might consider trying to use chopped nuts… In fact, when my girls want something unhealthy like deep fried fish fingers, I use oatmeal flakes to get the crust. Works perfectly. So, I am sure you will enjoy the crust if you make a mix of finely chopped nuts + oatmeal flakes (raw and chopped, as well) + some herbs and greens. If you have mortar and pestle, you can get even a better result. Use it to pestle greens so that you get some moisture to unite the dry ingredients… add a small piece of fresh hot pepper (the one you prefer or have), some salt, black pepper, then mix it altogether with the nuts and oatmeal flakes. Press this “crust” well in your meat and enjoy. Hope it turns out well. Have to try it myself as well… you inspire me for new healthy ideas. That’s nice. Thanks! =))

Oh, oh, forgot to write you yesterday. If you are not allowed to lift anything heavier than 2 kilos, you can simply walk into the store and place five 1 kg packs of flour on top of each other. You’ll see the volume… if you use tangerines, the amount will be even impressive. OR! GO to the fridge and pick the necessary amount of butter. That would be correct… Trust me 20 packs of 250 g butter sticks looks really well, when it comes to realizing you managed to drop all this fat off. ;)

I am glad you tried the interval bike riding and I know really well how you felt. When I started riding like this, I was literally crippled, when getting off the bike. I could barely walk =))) such a funny feeling! (you’ll probably wake up with sore legs… it’s ok. Just start exercising and it’ll go away. Always worked for me)

So you’ve decided to keep the suspense about your weight, huh? Mean Dee!! Ok, well, looking forward to your news and fingers crossed for a happy face!

I ended up riding an extra 4km

Thursday 16th February

I woke this morning with a rumbly tummy  I did have my tablet later as in 7.30 instead of 5.30am....

as for my weigh in....what I can say is good by 99??? and hello 98 yep!! 98.7... hopefully I can keep loosing and set a goal of 97?? for my official weigh in on Monday, if not I will be just as happy with 98 ,after all its better than 99 and way better than those dreaded 100'so_O

Breakfast was a boiled egg, lunch was a toasted ham cheese and mayo sandwich, I snacked on 4 cristini sticks 4 hard boiled lollies and a slice of the semolina cake, cup of tea plus my water. Dinner I cooked pasta with mince, carrot, mushrooms, and capsicum

Exercise wise I have ridden 4 km so far 2 of those I took Aprils advice and gave it ago.... giving it my all took a bit of effort... I do push when i ride but not like that.... so I will need to work on that... I will get on later and ride at least 1km but not fast :p after all I want to walk tomorrow LOL Ive done 40 min on the vibration machine and danced flat out for 45 minutes 20 with the 1kg weights and 15 with the lighter ones the rest was without weights I also found an exercise that I can do with a bad back that will help tighten my belly so I did 10 of them... I nearly fell on my face so looks like something else I need to work on LOL

I hope everyone is doing well.. remember we will do this!!

:)

Hello, dear Sarah!!! You are so welcome to this forum and into this journey! You have good goals and I love your attitude towards the use of Duromine. It’s really good for kicking a good weight loss. Yet, you have to realize that you also should work a lot to get the result. You do have a limited time for the course, so you should immediately start with introducing some changes into your nutrition and daily activity. Seeing your posts here and there, I can see that you have a very positive mood and ready to go. Love it! If you have any questions, please ask. You also have the possibility to view multiple success stories, some of which are ongoing, which already contain lots of tips and individual responses.

Happy to know you started drinking water. Many non-drinkers start loving water when they get on Duromine. =)) Good luck and have a great day!

Hello Charlie! How’s it going? I hope you did change something about your daily regime and your weight started to go down. Looking forward to news from you! Good luck!

Hi April,:) we must have been typing at the same time last night...

Oh that does sound nice I did go gluten free for about 6 months and I was using almond meal…. I think the oats would add more of a crunch? I will definitely try it next time… thanks for the tip… only problem I want to fry something now to try it LOL

Talking of peppers I put in 6 pepper plants this year and I tried one the other night in a stir fry hooly dooley I picked it and just placed it against my lips to see what heat was in it.. nothing so when I cut it I tried again… well it has to be the hottest chilli I have ever grown… so I needless to say I placed a ¼ of the pepper in the stir fry no seeds and cut that ¼ into tiny pieces the size of a match head… it was still hot in the meal… now for something funny sometimes I have chilli on my egg for breakfast, my partner would complain it was too hot… silly I said (he makes a mean curry that’s too hot for me to eat go figure) so I would sometimes hide it under his egg he would bite it… go red and hiccup LOL so when he tried this chilli he said don’t you dare hide that under my egg LOL I must admit I think this might be just a wee bit too hot for a morning meal… but I will have try and see later when the others ripen

Oh that avocado truffle I made… not so nice I will wait till the other ripens more and try again… I am thinking maybe it wasn’t ripe enough I have made them in the past with just dates and when I read the avocado one I thought oh they are so creamy the truffles should taste the same… no

Here is the semolina one if you want to try

Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius
Place 3 whole oranges in a pan and cover with water, bring to the boil, reduce to simmer and cook for an 1 hour, let cool then peel place in a food processor remove any pips etc

Combine 3/4 cup semolina, 1 and half cups of almond meal and 1 teaspoon baking powder together in a bowl. Beat 6 egg whites until stiff and set aside.
I placed 3 egg yolks into the orange juice along with 1/2 cup honey and 1 tablespoon maple syrup (sugar free), blend well then, fold the egg whites through the cake mixture.

Fill a cake tin Cook at 160C for the first 15 minutes (fan forced) then reduce the temperature 130C and cook for a further 30 minutes if it starts to get to brown then cover the top. test by making sure the center is cooked and not runny it will be a little wobbly I let mine cool in the oven and I got 24 slices approx 1 cm wide 3 cm high... Total calories approx 125 per slice (that will vary depending on the amount of cal in the brands you use)
  • 600 g low fat ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup (100 ml) honey (or pure maple syrup sugar free one this would cut the cal by 350 for the whole cake)
  • 3 eggs (I used bantam eggs from the yard)
  • 1 tablespoon gluten free corn flour
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla essence

Ha great idea so I did go in and have a look at a pile of butter… no wonder the tyre from my waist is disappearing so nice to see that roll getting smaller and smaller ;)

My legs are a little sore but not too bad… yes I know what you mean I did that 2 days ago? My arms were sore and I pushed thru and they came good

Dee

I had a low cal choc/coconut hot milk drink before bed last night

Friday 17th February

Today's weight is 98.7 ;)

I had a boiled egg for breaky with kiwi fruit, lunch was another boiled egg (they are little batam eggs) and 4 cristini sticks with some dip, dinner will be roast chook with salad. Snacks today have been a peach some trail mix and some craisins... a fruit day for me :) If i get hungry later I will have a slice of semolina cake and break it up so it lasts longer

I have done 30 minutes on the vibration machine and will do another 10 after dinner, legs were a little sore so I danced for 15 with the heavier weights and 10 with the lighter one and 5 with none... arms are feeling it now  and so are my legs... I rode 20 fast and 10 slow i could only do a minute  I struggled,so then i did a minute of 10 - 10 then i realised I had the bike on the higher number:( i am pretty sure I had it lower yesterday so I then rode another minute on the lower speed with no fast peddling I've also done 10 stomach exercises, feeling a little sore as i pushed thru today to do what I have... so tomorrow might be a rest day... I will see o_O

I hope everyone is doing well... I look forward to reading your updates

Dee

Hey Dee, so it’s 98.7 two consecutive days already… I knew it! Good! Great! Fantastic! 97’s just round the corner. I am sorry if my advice resulted in aching everything, yet you are going forward and you should start pushing a little bit harder than you can (of course, always keep your back in mind), so that your body keeps changing all the time. And when the fat excess is all gone, you get a good shape. =)

Damn, you made me laugh so hard about the “don’t put this pepper under my egg”. Poor thing… he knows you’re mean. =)))))))

Sorry for the negative effect of my cooking tip. You can make a list of things you will allow yourself to eat when you’re at the goal weight. Note them down, then eat one in a week. Let it be your cheating meal. Though it might happen so that your tastes and habits change so much by the end of your Duromine journey that you will no longer crave for these things. =)

Thanks for your recipes. I also had a good semolina cake recipe somewhere… have to try and find it.. or try yours. Sounds delicious! Have a fantastic day! Hope, you won’t miss exercising… 97 is so close

Hi Everyone,

Am new here from New Zealand and today is the day I start on Duramine, my current weight is 139.kg so I have a bit of work to do, last two weeks I haven't eaten any carbs or sugar and will continue this on the duramine, I lost 26kg in 2015 but then my head got into a state and couldnt focus ,and I put it all back on !!!! but now I am determined and in the right head space , as I now have arthritis in both knees so need to get the weight of so I can have my knees fixed and be free from pain , so here goes day 1 :)

Hey Nassa,

How are you feeling so far? I am on day 5 now, and the first 3 days were horrendous. I had a starting weight of 132kg (so similar to you!). I lost around 22kg by changing my diet and exercising a little (I also have knee problems), but I've been stuck as 110kg for a while now, hence the duromine. Good luck with your journey!

Hi April

Oh I made a mistake I weighed 98.6 yesterday (i lost 100g) but makes no difference as I weigh the same today LOL yes 97 is just around the corner not sure if it will happen by Monday but thats okay it means I will be looking at 97 net week for sure :)

No that's all good I appreciate it it has pushed me so as you will see in my next post... I think the vibration machine helps the body recover from some soreness :) Oh and I did have the bike on the higher number yesterday... no wonder it killed me:eek: so back to the lower number today

Ba ha ha makes me laugh too.... mean in a nice way... a chilli is good for you... a great way to kick start the day

Oh maybe when you find your recipe you might share if its different

Hope your having a great weekend

Dee :)

Today 18th February

I hope everyone is having a great weekend:laughing:

Okay I messed up with my weight yesterday:confused: I actually weighed 98.6 and I weigh the same today... I did weigh myself 2 hrs later and I was 98.3 but that doesn't count (I wish it did) as I have a set time everyday and that just goes to show how time in a day can make a difference...

Breakfast was some strawberries and a peach, I had my pretend coffee with real milk this morning too, lunch was a poached egg on toast (I only ate half the toast) with spinach and bacon, dinner we had a hot Italian pork sausage, ive snacked on 3 boiled lollies, some craisens, and 2 sugar free biscuits, tomorrow I will incorporate veggies/ salad.... today was a lazy day.:p

Well I was sore yesterday so I went and jumped on the vibration machine after riding and I think it helped... not my arms so no dancing or weights today. I have done 30 minutes on the vibration machine and this morning I jumped on rode 1km at the high number then changed to low and did 2 km of 20 fast and 10 slow, I also jumped on on after lunch and did 1km 20 fast and 10 slow and will do the same before bed I have also done 20 of the stomach exercises for a bad back 10 this morning and 10 just before and I didn't fall on my face:cool:

I hope everyone is well

Till tomorrow o_O

Today's
weight was 98.3:laughing:... I am getting there, I doubt I will be in the 97's tomorrow but im excited to know that it will happen next weeko_O

Breakfast was a bowl oats, lunch was ham and salad sandwich, dinner was green chicken thai soup (very yummy if i do say so myself) snacks have been slice of semolina cake 4 cristini sticks and a few craisens, I have had a cup of tea and one of my pretend coffees plus my water im feeling peckish now so if i do succumb to a treat it will be 2 sugar free biscuits

Exercise was a struggle today arms are still sore but I managed to dance- 10min with the 1kg and 5 with the 500g weights, all up 30 cardio. Ive done 20 of the tummy exercises, rode 3km 20 fast and 10 slow... that last 1km was hard :( I know by preserving it will be become easier,:) I should be able to do 5km eventually, 20 min on the vibration machine I will make sure I ride 1km before bed.

I am a new mum my daughter is now 16 months I've done everything possible to lose my baby weight. I am 31 years old, I gained 35kg in my pregnancy and my goal weight is 60kg I am currently 95.5kg. I am currently on a monitored diet plan seeing a dietitian and sports physico for my back issues. Since I've gained the weight from the pregnancy the pain In my back has escalated I knew it was from my weight gain but didn't want to admit it. I enjoy my food too much lol but it's time to give this duromine a go! Doctor has just suscribed me for a month supply wish me luck everyone!

Weigh in today 95.5kg day one of duromine 20.2.2017

Hi Tryingtoloosethechub, :)

Thank you for posting and reading my posts....Its been slow but I am getting thereo_O... when is your weigh? even thou I weigh myself daily my official one is every 4 weeks, as that is when I see my Dr for a check up, new script etc?

Well done to keeping to mostly healthy eating that can be so hard if you weren't before, sounds like you are doing well, Id love to hear how you are going... I couldn't find a post to read?

Exercise can be hard, I only walked the dog before (very short walks of late as she isn't in the best of health but she loves socialising or maybe its more she loves rubbing there nose in the fact that she is out and about and they are locked up LOL)

I knew or have known that I need to exercise, its always on my to do list I had hit that low and was just getting bigger and bigger and not being able to conceive just topped things off so when I found out that i would have a few months rest from trying to conceive and no medications I asked my Dr for something to assist me from snacking and she prescribed D after after a few tests, all those things gave me the motivation to give it my all and make changes for life. I said to myself if I dont do it now I never will for over 2 years I was restricted in what I could do because of TTC part of my medications was steroids and they can increase your hunger, till I learnt I needed to eat very low cal when I did snack to lower the impact of weight increase for that time, so having these few months is like gold as I can throw all at it that means excising hard pushing my heart rate etc, It hasn't been easy but I know its something I must do, it also means that once I have done a good 3 months of excising I will be able to continue that thru a pregnancy not as hard as I am at the moment but my body wont go into shock lol besides once pregnant I cant afford to put lots of weight on due to my back. I heard on the radio the other day someone say after 30 the metabolism slows by 1 - 3% per year... Im in my 40's so that adds up to huge loss:( excising will help lessen that loss.

Im not sure if you would like to increase exercise but if you do maybe this might help you? its what i did or thought
I set myself small goals (that are achievable) no use setting high goals and not sticking to it. It makes me feel like ive failed then I give up, but when its small and I do it, its a great feeling of accomplishment thats how I started, I still cant believe I have exercised everyday since starting (except for 1 day), you will notice I changed my wording to I will try to do another one 1 or 2km instead of I will, that gave me freedom to do more if i chose, its also gave me a sense of pride that I was doing it without any pressure plus a huge inspiration was the thought of my metabolism working while I was in bedo_O

The first 4 days were the hardest I dragged myself to the bike, I just kept saying its only 1 - 5 km you wont be on the bike for an hr surely you can do this, but dancing was easy because I love it. It is a great way to shake and move to a fast beat and not think about excising, grab a small can of soup for each hand (great light weights if you have none) I started by flapping my arms up and down and all you have to do is tap your feet to the music to start with I now use a remix of 70's top hits it has a great beat and I move to the beat which means I move very fast LOL hence my arms being so sore ... having a bad back I must listen to my body and if I got a sharp pain I knew not to do that move again etc

Keeping a diary on here helped me heaps too, no one knows me here and for me to write it down made it real and meant that I had committed to it and besides that, April and Kate will give some advice if they see ways we can improve etc or point out bad habits that should change or maybe we should cut right back on

I hope that helps a little :)

Heyy lovely ladies ;)

My name is Tamara I am 27 and today is my first day taking the little green and grey pill (30mg) I didnt sleep very well last night because I was soo nervous to start (so i feel a bit crappy today in general). Ive had the script for over a month but only finally bit the bullet yesterday and went to the chemist. Asked the pharmacist every question under the sun and now here I am :)

Highest Weight at 26: 95kg
Lowest Weight at 22: 69kg
Start Weight at 27: 87.4kg
Goal Weight: 69kg
Ultimate Goal Weight: 59kg

Ive wanted to be skinny my whole life. And I just feel like if I never get to size 8 (59kg) that I would have waisted my life and never know what I could have achieved. Even when I was 69kg from 16-22years I still thought I was fat. Yet I would do anything to be back there now. Food controls my life I am constantly thinking about what I have eaten and what will I eat next. I have the attitude of 'all or nothng' and if Ive started the day off bad then the whole day will be bad and start again tomorrow. I used to go days of not eating when I was 18 and go out clubbing and found it soo much easier to just not eat rather than try stay on a healthy eating plan.

I went on lite and easy last year for 5 weeks (longest I have stuck to anything!) In July and went from 92kg-83.6kg. I was soo proud of myself and it didnt even take that long and wasn't even that hard. But as soon as I had my first red rooster chips i was done and could never get back on :( id maintained the 83.6kg untill just this last month where my weight has slowly been going up and i can not go back to my biggest...i just can't!!! So here I am :)

Loved reading all the posts on here and love seeing all the positive energy. I am a serial weigher, roughly 10 times a day I will hop on the scales (I cant help it and I get anxiety if my bf takes the scales away from me or if the battery goes flat etc) but will try only upload on here if the loss is amazing or weekly to not bore everyone :)

Ok well have a great day everyone we've got this !!!! xxxxx

That time of the month is nearly here so that has something to do with it... well I hope it does!! Not fazed next Monday will be what counts...

Today's breakfast was a boiled egg and a kiwi fruit, lunch was some cristini sticks and a slice of cheese, dinner was steak, half boiled potato, celery with cottage cheese and pumpkin if i snack later it will be on 2 sugar free biscuits snaks were a protein bar, some trail mix.

My arms are sore or maybe its more my shoulders so I have skipped today's weights... I have ridden 2km 20 fast 10 slow Im sure this will be easier by next week... the first 1km is ok, the second one I start to struggle so the last km i just rode... I will do my best to do another 1 or 2 before bed :) Ive also done 30 minutes vibration machine 10 stomach exercises and will do another 10 before bed

I hope everyone is doing well

Hey!

I don't really know how to use this site but I do have a blog post if that's what you mean?

I agree with keeping a diary it's kind of good to come on here and know you can say exactly how you feel because no one knows who you are. I have a lot of friends but no one I'm really comfortable talking about or disclosing my weight too! I kind of feel like I'm the DFF (designated fat friend) lol but I will try hard and see where this takes me.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles getting pregnant, life really isn't fair in that way. I often wonder how there are all these very young teenagers with children and no means to support them and then mature people that are desperately trying. I think that you are going really well tho and being healthy and dropping the weight will certainly help

I used to be so active (says everyone) lol. I just really struggle with time and everything. I run my own business so sometimes it's really hard to make time for myself. I will get there tho, however I do know that I won't be doing it every day. I've made a massive change in my diet and I'm really hoping that's paid off. I need to set myself measurable goals or I will never get there.

Tomorrow is my first weigh day. I'm nervous because I feel like if I haven't lost weigh I might give up and say it's not worth it. Even a kg I would be happy with just to show that it's paying off!

I've had a really bad day today, went for a long walk but I've felt really dehydrated despite drinking heaps of water. I cheated and had 2 coffees and a alcoholic drink after work. Plus I'm having potatoe with my dinner lol I've been light headed too and felt really emotional! Hopefully I get a good sleep and tomorrow is a new day.

Thanks for all your tips, it's really great to have some support . Sometimes help comes in many different forms.

Thanks
