Second day finished.
Weight= 78.1kgs
No change in weight = day1

Slept a bit better, than yesterday.
Eyes feel raw & swollen l,mild pain.
Severe Headaaches like yesterday...so started drinking lots of water,thanks for suggesting it April
Mind is kinda foggy, to write this post i am taking hours together as getting confused with the vocabulary & difficulty in recollection.
Please ignore if any mistakes in vocabulary lol.
I am feeling very sick, cooking looks challenging.
Suffering from Mild palpitations too..
Blurring of vision is frustrating me alot.
Looks like i got some spotlight side effects but not gonna give up!!!!

Appetite, hungry like yesterday
Craving for noodles & cappachino
Ate noodles
But resisted eating coffee.
April can u please tell me how to make a healthy smoothie instead of a fancy coffee?Thanks

Chocos, 1 teaspoon raw sugar,skim cow milk = 509 calories

LUNCH: was feeling v sick
Ate Maggie= 220 calories sorry had no energy to cook anything so made the 2minute noodles.

Dinner: Ate restaurant made tandoori chicken 267 calories.

Snacks; chicken pops 90 calories.

Water consumption : 2litres.

Total calories intake: 1,082

I know i am not eating v well but i am facing a real hard time fighting the side effects. Hopefully they become manageable.

Please gimme names of some recipes which are easy to make.Thanks.

Experienced severe heart burn & acidity
had to take ENO fruit salt before goin to bed. Was wondering What could be the cause of acidity? The medicine itself or deficient diet?

Hi Rana. Now I am worried. I really don’t like the side effects you are having. I think you should check your blood pressure and monitor your heart rate. I have no idea how you bear all these… =(( too severe… let’s see how tomorrow goes, but if it doesn’t subside, don’t know.. may be you should try to skip a day or two… better consult with your doctor, if anything, and please, monitor your heart rate.


As for the healthy coffee smoothie, I will just copy past a nice recipe, if you don’t mind.

The perfect way to start your morning with coffee, oats, flaxseeds and bananas, all in one!

Course Breakfast

Cuisine American

Prep Time 5 minutes

Total Time 5 minutes

Servings 2 Servings

Calories 153 kcal

Ingredients

· 1 cup strong brewed coffee

· 1 banana

· 1/4- cup rolled oats

· 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

· 1 tablespoon flaxseeds meal

· 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

· 1 cup soy milk or almond milk

· 1 teaspoon honey


Instructions

1. Pour coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze overnight.

2. Combine all the ingredients in a blender, including the coffee ice cubes and blend until smooth.

3. Taste for sweetness and adjust accordingly.

4. Serve.


That’s it. It’s good. Love it!

Heart burn and acidity also can be from Duromine. Fatigue can be caused by insufficient nutrition. However, I have to repeat that you should monitor your condition closely and address for medical help, if you notice things getting out of control. Take care
 
Hello, yesterday I went to my GP after 3 months of plucking up the courage to talk about my weight. I felt I had no where else to turn, I had tried slimfast, running but then I got injured and personal training but then it just got too cold. I had not heard about Duromine before yesterday but I am so thrilled to start on it today.

I am 90.8kg, 174cms and my normal weight range has been 68-74 until about 3 years ago when I started to put on weight through emotional binge eating and a new relationship that was full of junk food and TV watching. Now is the time to come out of hibernation and shame and I hope that Duromine (30mg) will help to be the kick start I need.

I have not told anyone including my partner I am taking this as I feel this is a journey I am to take without outside influences so I am so grateful to have found this forum website. Life is looking up.

Side effects today have been a headache, extra thirsty, more energy and definitely more focused at work. I am feeling quite sleepy now which is good as I have read that some people have found it difficult to sleep.

Is there anyone else out there that has just started. Maybe we can take the journey together. I hope to lose 2kgs a week for 3 months which would take me back to my regular weight

Hello Danzasocean! My Duromine journey was over many years ago, but I still want to welcome you and wish you a great weight loss with positive emotions and lots of achievements. Hopefully, the side effects subside in a couple of days and you will be able to introduce some sports into your life. Will you be able to do this? Ok, fingers crossed on your plan to go exactly if you wish and a great day to you!

Hello Rana! So how did the first week on Duromine end? Did you weigh in, or plan on doing that once in a month to not torture yourself? =) or vice versa, to torture yourself guessing… =) Hope, everything is going well and you are getting on track with the nutrition. I also hope you feel better. Wish you a restful weekend with some activity, of course. =))
 
Hi guys

I'm on day 1 today and 15mg was prescribed to me by my doctor. Starting weight, 102kg. Goal weight at this point is 85kg.

I was feeling very anxious about starting duromine today. I was on duromine 30mg about 4 years ago and I lost 25 kg.I went from 95kg to 70kg in 3 months. I had insomnia for nearly 3 months while I was on the 30mg, as well as heart palpitations and bad headaches. I managed to push through, as I was very determined to shed the weight.


I managed to keep off the weight for about 3 years, until January 2016, where my best friend was tragically killed in a car accident. I became depressed and just didn't take care of myself. Very old eating habits crept in and before I knew it I gained nearly 40 kg in 18 months.

I'm in a much better place now and I am determined to shed this weight. My doctor suggested I start with the 15mg this time around.

I can gladly say that on this day 1, I am only experiencing dry mouth and I've got no appetite at all (YAY!). No headaches, no heart palpitations. Hope I can fall asleep tonight.

Will keep you posted on my weight loss journey.

I wish you to have a very successful weight loss and hope that you will actually enjoy this time on Duromine, having fewer side effects and the same great results, as you had. Hi!

My dr has prescribed me with 15mg and she has said to do 4 weeks on 15mg and then reassess at the end and see whether to go up to 30mg. So I am assuming this is a normal thing? I did ask if I could just start o 30mg since it is a 12 week maximum however she said she has never done it before.

I am currently 82kgs at 163cms and goal weight is 65kgs and then will see how I go. I am not a very active person but will try to do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.

I have quite high cholesterol and hoping between the duromine and a consult with the dietician next week I will back within normal ranges soon.

I have read and heard such varying reviews for this, so am hoping I am one of the lucky ones with limited side effects.

Any tips / success stories welcome and I wish you good luck on your own weight loss journey.

Well, your doctor is being cautious, and it’s actually quite a common practice to prescribe 15 mg at first. You will just have to see if it is strong enough for you. Some people get harsh side effects on 15 mg, not even mentioning the 30 mg. Since no one can tell for sure how your body responds to Duromine, it is better to be overcautious sometimes, than to suffer from consequences. Let’s see how it goes. We have plenty success stories on this forum, when people were losing weight very well while being on 15 mg, while others felt the effect only on 40 mg. Stay positive – that’s the main thing!

Hopefully, you will manage to lose weight and lower your cholesterol level. Health is the priority every time. When you have some free time, feel free to look through various success stories on our forum and best of luck to you on your way!

Thank you for your reply. How are you going with everything? Are you having any side effects? How much exercise are you doing if any?

I lost 4kg in the first week and am taking photos weekly. I am walking 30minutes to an hour per day.

The side effects I have felt have been a sore neck which I read others have felt too. Dry mouth, a dull headache, irritability, exhausted by the end of the day and like a space cadet at work.

My boyfriend asked me if I had lost some weight, I said I'm not sure. But was stoked he could notice

Hi April, thank you for your encouragement, I'm happy with my weight loss so far (4kgs in first week) and have been doing some walking but am starting to feel I need to do strength training and I have been craving protein.
