Hi April, I'm now 10 days in and 2.9kgs down. Slow and steady! Only side affect I seem to be having is a dry mouth and maybe slight irritability at night but I'm not sure if that was just general frustration or the D. Looking forward to a continued loss - I head to Bali in 2 weeks and I'm hoping with a push I can get under the 90kg mark (3.7kgs to go)

Hi Sarah! Very nice that result of yours! Congrats! The probability of losing those 3.7 kg in 2 weeks is very high, based on your current progress. You just might need to push a little harder. I guess, it’s a vacation on Bali. So you will be wearing a swimsuit? If you want your body look A LOT better in two weeks, start the swimming pool! Trust me, water exercises work better than anything else in the world when it comes to make your skin more firm and toning your muscles.

I am sure you’ll get to your mini goal. I will keep my fingers crossed for that! =)) Best of luck and a great new week ahead!

Hello Dee!!! Oh finally you’re back, my dear! I am so happy that migraine is finally gone and you can get back on track with that amazing weight loss journey of yours! Been missing your updates =( However, I am glad you did discuss the possibility of 40 mg with your doc and that you’re already on it. Especially, I love the fact that you don’t have any side effects. This worried my quite much, because this guy is a lot tougher than the 30 mg.

You’re doing VERY well with your exercises. I love it that you started working actively on all parts of your body and I am sure your tummy will soon be just flat, without poking out. You are working so hard to get there, so you’re bound to success, Dee!

You know, it is a very good thing that you notice your body changes so much. Many people, who are going through the weight loss process, find it really hard to notice any changes, which can be quite discouraging. You do everything just right!!!

Congrats with the status change!!! It’s a HUGE achievement!!!! No more obesity, and the overweight will also be a history in a couple of months, I am sure about that! =))

Glad to hear about your precious doggy. It’s great when people have so much love to share with their pets and do anything they can to make their life better!

I wish you a fantastic day and a very successful week ahead! High five, Dee!

I almost missed the biggest news of the today. So it’s no more 98. Yey, yey, iepiyey!!! Way to go, Dee. Seems to me, you’re on your way to those 95 and already have that warpaint and boxing gloves on. Now where’s that excess fat, c’mon let me see it. =)) VERY well done! I am extremely happy for you! You’ve already come a long way, and there’s still a way to go, but I am sure you’ll go all the way through till the end goal. Keep smiling!

Hi April... yes I am back :) Yes I was nervous about changing it and started to worry that maybe I didn't need it just yet... but I did ... and I was worried about side affects... sleep, headache etc but none.... touch wood.. so i love that I have none too
I was home today got up at 5 went back to bed at 7.30 and slept till 10 am:eek: I never sleep that long nor do I go back to bed....but my body must have needed it I go back and see my Dr this Sunday for my 8 week weigh in and she wants to check my blood pressure etc to make sure all is good for me to keep going on the higher oneo_O

yes and my body can feel it too... my arms are a little sore today but I pushed thru and ended up using lighter weights for the last 20 minutes today... its taken me 6-7 weeks to see that difference my clothes are still fitting me ( a little looser) and your right it can be discouraging but that is why i gave myself a good 2-3 months to see a difference as long as those scales were going down I knew I was doing something right... I thought my work pants would fall down by now but not yet... just goes to show how big that tyre was:(... that will happen in time... ;) and my legs they look like they are toning or not as big above the knee...

Yes I am overweight for now...

Thank you ... your right and I wish more people would do the same... all they have is love to give and only do wrong when we don't train them right

Thank you... wishing you the same...

Dee

Ba ha ha you nearly missed it... I nearly missed it myself LOL

That's it 95 is very close... low 96 would be great by next Monday that could mean 95 is to follow soon after

Always

I ended up riding another 3km last night.. because... I ate a 1/2 of a small cinnamon and apple bun... it was so nice and we have another one but I haven't touched it.. yay to me

Tuesday 28th February
Todays weight is 97.6:)
I had fruit for breakfast some strawberries, 1/4 banana, and yogurt, lunch was a almond milk with chia seeds, yogurt, rest of my banana, plus mint from the garden and , snacks I had 4 marinated mussels with chili, 4 cristini sticks 4 small pieces of licorice
Dinner was chicken with veggies ive also had lots of water and some of it with lemon.

I have ridden 3km so far some on a higher number then i did 2 and 1/2 on the lower number and did 1km 20 fast 20 slow and 1km 10 fast 10 slow, i used my 1kg weights for the first 15 mins of my dancing and then 20 with lower weights, 20 minutes on the vibration machine 30 tummy ones

I am about to go and ride another 2km :)

I hope everyone is doing well

Dee

Hey I am about to check in on your weigh in, Im pretty sure it was yesterday? oh yes... I have to laugh because to be honest I still have days without feeling crappy and lack the ohh lets go and shake this booty... but I do it... because I know I have to ;)

Yes ... as they say "it wont happen over night but it WILL happen" ;)

Hi Everyone,

1 March weight 97.6
Oh remember how I said I slept in... never again... I woke at 2.30 and was still awake at 4... I get up at 5  once I pulled my eyelids up I was okay
still no side affects... I have noticed that when I wake up I feel a little ill so I know eat and apple either before or after my tablet and my egg later

My dad called past yesterday so I found it hard to get my usual exercises in... as we sat and talked etc but I did do some;) couldn't go a day without it so I did 10 min vibration machine after I rode 1km my legs were killing me... I tried to go flat for the most of it and did 20 tummy ones

I had an apple for breakfast and a boiled egg, lunch was cristini sticks, some cheese and tomatoes, dinner I did another pasta with carrots, mushrooms capsicum, and chilli I also had 2 pieces of bread off a french stick so only small.... I made sure I ate prior to 5pm ;) snacks I had 2 sugar free lollies (the ones that if you over indulge make you run to the toilet) an apple and some yogurt 1/4 cup. 2 mini jellos that Ive made with fresh strawberries yummo!! I had a green tea... ive just ordered some matcha tea so I cant wait for that to arrive.. took me awhile to find a pure one that wasn't going to take all my money o_O a pretend coffee and of course water:laughing:

Wishing everyone a great day :)

Starting Weight 96.7
End of week 1 weight - 94.6 (-2.1kgs)
End of Week 2 weight - 93.2 (-1.4kgs)

Although not loosing as quick as I want, I and stoked to be 3.5kgs down.

This weekend I will be upping the exercise big time so hopefully get a good loss by next week.

2nd March

Today's weight......97.2 YAY! 96 isn't too far

Some great news I dont have to have the operation for at least another 2 -3 months double YAY!!

Today I had a coffee a cup all to me ;) It did give me a little boost... As I have an automatic machine I didn't use all the coffee just a little, an apple for breakfast and egg, lunch was yogurt, with banana , chia seeds some protein powder dinner was a chicken stir fry and some fried rice (home made) April I used sesame (teaspoon and a half) oil when I had too otherwise I used my non stick pan ;) I had a small slice of a chocolate slice/square an Auntie made... I didn't touch it last night ;) snacked on 2 cristini sticks
Exercises Ive done 20 on the vibration machine I rode 3km at a reasonable speed then I did 1km 20 fast 10 slow then another 1km 10 fast 10 slow and some of it was 20 fast 10 slow... I incorporated my arm exercises (1kg weight) in with my dancing 20 minutes most of it was fast 20 tummy ones and one plank 10 sec

I will do my best to ride another 1km before bed and will also try this other exercise ive seen its like sitting on a chair with nothing under you... I will have a chair beside me umm maybe under me if i can or better yet i may ask my partner to stand near me to help me up... as I am not sure if I may fall on my bottom if i dont  I will do that just before bed as I read that can help burn calories while you sleep too

Well that its for me I hope everyone is doing well :) till tomorrow... Remember we will do this ;)

Wishing you all a great night or day if that is the case

Dee

Hey Dee! Music to my ears hearing you say you can’t have a day without exercising. It’s just GREAT!

Sorry to hear you feel a bit sick when you wake up, but looks like you found your remedy, so it’s good. Does your stomach react normally to an apple on an empty stomach? Mine goes nuts and I just wanted to tell you to be careful to not hurt yourself with lots of acid as the first thing that gets into your stomach every morning.

=)) pure matcha tea.. I’d appreciate your feedback on it, because I am also thinking about getting it. Want to know your opinion. I see, we have quite close tastes for foods and drinks. =)

Your weight loss pace is just perfect (did I say that already?)! 96 is very very close and I am sure one of the next 2 days will be deafened with your scream yeeeeey! Do you realize how much work you have already done and what a great result you already managed to achieve. Hey, did you take any photos? Before and after photos are so inspiring! If you still don’t have a “before” photo, please, please, please Dee, take it.

The exercise you described… are you sure it will be ok to do it? Your back problem is still there… please, be very very careful! Oh, congrats with plank! 10 sec is great to start with! Each day, you will see this time increase, and you will feel your muscles working. Bravo, Dee!

Have a lovely day and hope the scales make you cheerful and smiling soon! =)

Hi Sarah! I think you do have a good weight loss progress. However, in you want to boost it anyhow, we might discuss the possibilities/ I just need to know what you eat and what is the level of your physical activity. However, if you are already going to up your exercise, I hope you will get better results by the end of week 3 on Duromine. Best of luck and a wonderful day to you!

Heyloooo,
Yesterday I did a big Pile of house work. Took kitty to vets for a Lion cut, and then went off to work. Had a cereal bar, a nectarine and my lunch was the Lamb kofta curry I made on Saturday, which is crazy hot, but good. Did 26mins yoga and weighed in at 96KG. Just want this to happen so magically quick! No patience. But awesome that hunger pangs aren't there. Finding myself bored more often though, as opposed to satisfied lounging on the couch. Hence all the house work. Lol. It certainly needed done!
Valentines day today! Aim is not to be too bad. Have had 2 cereal bars, a nectarine and left over pork roast from sunday. Yum. And will do some yoga after picking kitty up and heading home. Today is one of my 10.5 hr work days. So I end up pretty tired. Plus sleeping was super hard last night.

Hi Gwynedd. Is everything ok? Are you still working on that weight loss? You were so excited about it and got me excited with your slow and steady progress… So how is it going now? I hope on hearing from you soon and I hope you are doing really well.

Best of luck!

Day 3. Duromine @ 5;00am. Slept fine last night.
Not sure how I feel about today. I guess cos I've eaten so little over the past 2 days I found myself feeling a bit hungry today. It wasn't to the usual level but still definitely something. I didn't give into it anyway, I sipped a sugar free soda at work all day and had a soup in a cup (87cal)
When I came home I had a nap for a couple of hours and then prepared myself 2 chicken thighs, but struggled to eat them - gave 75% of them to my dog! Then I ate some organic sweetcorn puffs and a glass of whole milk. Not sure what my calories were today but I guess still quite low?
The bad news, I couldn't resist weighing myself and it has not gone down at all :( Hopefully it was just too soon.

Charlie, hi! How are you doing? No news so far and I have no idea what stage you are in right now. I truly hope, you’re doing fine and are still struggling with the excess weight.

If you decided to stop then, and want to re-start your attempt, it’s ok. We’re all here to give you the support you might need. I hope you are doing great and are willing to change your life for the healthier side of it! Good luck!

Hi all- very new forums in general but started on Duromine 15mg yesterday and wanted to keep a journal on my progress. I thought this would be a good platform to do so- it might keep me honest ;-).
I would love to hear of others success stories on Duromine.

A little about me:
Age 40
Height 170cm
Pre marriage (10 years ago) I was weighing between 55-60kg - although not really toned.
Pre-kids (7 years ago) and following 3 years of marriage - I crept up to 65-70kg,
Post kids (3) : I reached my heaviest of 85kg (pregnant I hit 90kg+) carrying weight mostly in my tummy and face (ugh!)

Over the last 6-12 months - I have managed to get down to 76kg (loss of around 9kg) following a gallbladder infection, and making some very small changes to my diet. I smoke and drink a can of V energy every day. I dont drink coffee or alcohol, so the energy drink and ciggies are my only vices. I walk for 1/2 hour a day (when I can) but I am pretty sedentary in nature generally. I have been hovering at 76kg for a while now and just had enough. I lacked the motivation to get up and walk and started feeling depressed and fat. This summer has been hot, and being hot and fat has really been hard.

Yesterday I started duromine 15mg.

Stats:
Duromine Start weight: 76kg
AUS dress size 14
First mini goal: 70kg
Second mini goal 65kg
End goal 60kg
OMG Goal weight: 55kg - (gives me 5kg to play with for things like xmas and other celebrations...)

Day 1: Feeling good - motivated enough to get up and walk and drank loads of water. Found chewing gum worked to counteract the dry mouth. Terrible sleep last night.. but surprisingly feel quite refreshed today.

I will post weekly stats in regards to weight loss- and try and refrain from checking myself daily (although its an obsession).

Hello, hello! How are you doing? I guess, you’re off Duromine already… did you manage to lsoe any weight? are you still working on reaching your goal weight AND a healthy BMI?

Hope, everything’s going just fine and you simply have no time to drop in and write a few lines because of all the exercising you do daily. ;)))

Best of luck!

Hi April
Thanks for that
Breakfast is usually a piece of wholemeal toast and a cup of coffee
Lunch is a salad, I'll either make a garden type salad with avocado and feta or a coleslaw or broccoli salad
Dinner is usually something like spag Bol. Home made pizza, sausage casserole those types of things
I will nibble on a piece of fruit or handful of nuts if hungry during the day
Exercise is usually non existent, maybe get 1/2hr - 1hr of running in on the weekend. I'm at a desk job and been have been making the efffort toget up and move more. This weekend I'll probably be doing at least 1/2hr of cardio exercise each day (fri- mon)
