Hey Kate and April :) thank you both for all your help and great advice, i really appreciate it !!

So last night i went to bed at 10:30pm after my workout and warm bath. I remember laying there and just told myself to relax and i will fall to sleep. I definately slept better, i woke up alot but would fall back asleep. And then once it was was 5:37am i was awake so i just laid there untill 6:30, took the pill and then laid in bed untill getting up at 8 for work.

I did a sneaky weigh in today, i was really going to try not to because i didnt want to unmotivate myself if it had gone up or stayed the same. But i couldnt help myself. But luckily the scales were kind and im down 2 kgs in 2 days !!! Yay really excited but im not going to jynx myself lol.

So today i worked and i ate half a chicken, cheese, avocado, lettuce sandwich, 50g smarties and for dinner 1/2 a cup rice and 1/2 a cup chicken alfredo. I mostly will eat the same thing everyday as i go through phases. I did buy some up n goes because i find im not eating anything untill after 1pm and im just worried i will slow my metabolism. So if i slowly sip on an up and go at work then hopefully that will help.

Anyway off to do my workout now and then another warm bath before bed. Im going to not play on my phone or ipad after 9:30pm and then bed at 10:30pm so hope that helps. Have a great night guys xxxx

Hi Tamara! So how is that “All or nothing” plan working?? Are you moving forward? I am so looking forward to your updates and I hope you are doing just great! A lovely day to you, dear and a cheerful mood! Write soon, please!

Wednesday 8/3

Oh my... are my legs sore I mean worse than yesterday  every step I take i can feel them LOL

My weight today is 96.9 ;)

Breakfast was 2 apples and an egg, lunch was cristini sticks 8 and some dip, plus 2 figs, dinner was a range of tomatoes straight from the garden with basil, spring onions, with mozzarella on toast (it was soo good). plus I had my pretend coffee and lots of water I snacked on some cranberries, and almonds earlier in the day

Exercise wise ive done 2 planks 30 sec each, 20 tummy ones 20 on the vibro machine and 40 minutes of those zumba ones (l am addicted... even if i dont have all the moves down pat but thats okay and I need to change some moves for my back oh and did I mention my arms are sore so I had trouble lifting them above my head and I had no weights .... but its perfect they are such a happy group and it just rubs off on me... thanks again April:) I cant wait to do more tomorow) I just rode 2km on the lower number... I am surprised I could even do that my poor legs ... 20 fast 10 slow...

Thats it for today... I feel a low cal choc drink coming up later ;)... maybe not I also have to have that tea I will see how I go:(

Wishing everyone well and remember we will do this
Oh and a work colleague picked up on my weight loss... she came up and said have you lost weight.. I said a little... I could tell by how loose your pants are, she said do you mind if I ask how much I told her and she said that's heaps of weight... well done... so I felt a little chuffed as she is a colleague I see regularly

Till tomorrow take care and don't forget we will do this!

I never had my choc drink last night but I had my tea and it did help

Hi Everyone
I would love to mention my weight but I spoke to mum and started talking figures and I forgot LOL was I 96.7 or 96.8... doesn't matter will see what tomorrow brings and I wont forget ;)

Breakfast was a boiled egg and 2 figs off my tree... lunch was a smoothie with protein, yogurt and chia seeds and 4 cristini sticks, dinner was chicken, with potato and tomato salad, I had a real coffee drink this morning :cool:with half milk and half water... was very nice plus Ive been drinking my water snack was home made banana bread... not like normal banana bread I put chia seeds in and the center is set like a firm custard... its like eating a banana

Exercises for today have been 7km on the bike just a normal ride medium pace I spoke to a friend so I thought I might as well jump on ;), 25 minutes of zumba (gosh I love the clips) no weights and I did another 20 minutes after dinner with weights :laughing:I had to change from the 1kg to the lower one as i was struggling.... Ive also done a 30 sec plank. 20 on the vibro machine, and the 3 minute inner thigh one so thats perfect while she does the one on the back which I cant do I am able to get a plank in... win win.... my legs feel a little better today so I will do one pretend sit before bed....;)

That's it from me... wishing you all a great night

Dee

Hello there, sporty girl! =)) Congrats with the first compliments. There are so much more to go… =) Glad you are enjoying Zumba so much. I just though I suggest this kind of activity since you love dancing. And these guys certainly know how to rock it and work it. =) positive attitude always makes you want to do a bit more exercising. 30 sec. plank. Bravo! You’re evolving quite well, and I have to say that you might have hit the moment, when your muscles started building quite actively (time to proceed with measurements more than scales). So that’s one of possible causes of your roll back in weight. I already posted a picture here, on the forum, about how much 2 kg of fat differ from 2 kg of muscles. And I managed to find the one that shows difference between a girl’s abs when she is 6 kg lighter, and when she is 6 kg heavier with a finely built abs contour. Means she gained 6 kg, yet these are other kg. =) Besides, the more muscles you have, the more calories they burn. So it’s so great that you’re exercising so much and building your muscle mass. =)

that dinner of yours from march 8… dream come true =)) gotta have the same thing. FAST! =)) Hope you wake tomorrow with a fantastic mood and will enjoy each and every move (I know your body is sore, but I am sure you understand that this is how you are fighting for a new body and these are the results of your hard work). Like my trainer used to say, when I was losing weight, if you feel fine the next day, if you don’t feel any muscles sore, you wasted the previous workout. I see you don’t waste any workout, any day. I agree with Kate, you are a true inspiration for all of us here! Way to go, dear! And a have a lovely day!

Thank you April i am loving it I have looked at others but they seem some serious... this one just makes me smile especially the mum of 5 how great is she and how much fun does she have... just goes to show you can keep moving when pregenat... if you are used to it and have no issues and for some inspiration I finish off with "one dance" .... oh I just want to keep going... today was hard... Il explain after this but i still managed 40 minutes min oh my the plank kills me LOL might be doing 30 for a bit before its increased  but im doing 2 a day when I can

Oh dinner was the best and even better the clove of garlic came from the garden too... I hope you get to make one too.. I want to make some chicken spring rolls in rice paper on the weekend

I love the picture and look at the caparison in fat to muscle...... yep going back had me stumped but I have a feeling i do that once a month then drop again? I know I have to be careful of fruit too... I used to juice thinking I was doing good (yes you guessed it more fruit that veggies) :p plus still having issues going to the toilet but the tea has helped (no severe pains very gentle herbal one with a little senna) and talking of that... the company I ordered that tea from messed me around so I have requested a full refund... so till the other one arrives from japan or china? I brought some ito en matcha tea bags... ive had 2 cups... I am use to drinking tea made from mandarin peel , green tea etc so the taste at first I thought was very strong... then when i had a mouthful of water my mouth felt like it was full of sugar  the second cup I left the bag in and it wasnt bad... again I am use to drinking black teas with nothing added...o_O

Thanks April very sweet of you to say... funny I just come here talk to you and others and dont think of anyone else reading LOL Plus I keep myself motivated and on track posting everyday... to be honest i dont know If I could of got this far otherwise and some of the tips came at a time when I needed them like fast slow on the bike etc... lets be honest I have no idea what I am doing so its learn as I go and your tips have helped steer me... or motivate me when I needed it

I love what your trainer said to you and its true... but I must admit if I was super sore when I first started it could have put me off... now I just push thru in a sensible way like maybe removing weights or not lifting my arms so high etc

Wishing you a great weekend :laughing:if its due its Friday here and its a long weekend yippee

Last night I did a pretend sit for 30 sec before bed

Friday 10th march

I am back to 96.4  I had a horrid night of sleeping... maybe that coffee yesterday even thou it was early? I woke at 2 due to a text message (why people text that time beats me... I am selling items) then I laid there got really upset I wasn't sleeping and thought I would get up sit for 2 minutes in front of computer and go back to bed I did that last time and went to sleep... it was 4am when I came out? I get up at 5 so no use going to sleep so I just laid there with my eyes closed turned the TV on at 1/4 to 5 and watched the american news/show.... so Ive only had 5 hrs sleep Im not really tired thanks duromine... but exercising was a struggle

so Ive done 20 on the vibro, 2 x 30 sec planks, 20 tummy ones 20 leg raises, and my all time favorite 40 minutes of zumba... didn't use weights my arms were so sore especially lifting them above my head so I think I did 3-4 clips of zumba ( i did 10 all up) before my arms said that's it no more above the head so they went half way up ;) oh and my 3 minutes inner thigh... I also went down 90 stairs today... not up:oops: I do up at the platform when I start work approx 30

Breakfast was an apple and boiled egg,(I am looking forward to bacon and eggs or porridge on the weekend) lunch was 8 cristini sticks and some dip and 4 chili mussels, dinner was ham and cheese plus salad... oh and 3 squares of dark choc, pretend coffee with almond milk and 2 matcha teas plus water... and a fig off the tree

Wishing everyone a great day and a wonderful weekend... till tomorrow

Hello, Dee! Yes, you are perfectly right. Your weight does have this trend, and you will definitely keep losing it further. =) Oh, I was keeping silence about that tee, because I know how much pain these might give you at times, and I am glad you got the milder one, so congrats with that problem away. =)

Ha, I am just like you, I love having fragrant tea with all kinds of peels, berries, herbs and just some tea. So I can totally relate to your sensations. I wonder how you will cope with something stronger. Yet, remember, green tea is a strong source of caffeine…

Dee, the decision to come to this forum belongs to you, all the efforts you’ve made belong to you, and all the achievements you reached belong to you. I am glad I can be helpful at times, and I am very honored to keep you company on your way. =)

You are 100% right about feeling sore and leaving the trainings… this is the reason why I didn’t just throw all these on your head once you started. And this is exactly what I meant when I said that you are evolving. You are ready and willing to do so much more now, compared to when you started. And I know you will get even further, as you go on. Plank 30 sec – stick to this time as long as your body needs to develop the required stamina and muscle tone. There is no need to push it too hard. You already give fantastic efforts! =) you listen to your body, and this is exactly what will help you in the future, when your task will be to continue working on your body without Duromine.

Thank you, dear! I also wish you a great weekend with lots of fun and pleasant moments!

Hi  I had two different green teas at work the other day one was sweet and the other had jasmine I found it to be very bitter... Its taken me a few years to acquire the taste wheat grass is a bit Blah I must say ... when you want a baby its amazing what you will drink or eat to get there LOL glad you mentioned the caffeine I just had one cup earlier today.. I let it steep 1 inch of water and drank that cold around noon.. so I might just stick to one cup for now.. after I am off duromine I might go haywire on it :laughing:this caffeine could be the reason I am waking and having trouble going back to sleep... this tea is very nice and I read lots of reviews before buying it contains only some senna

I feel very lucky to have you keep me company :)

Yes so true, that is why I push everyday to do an exercise... because your right this is what will help me in my future and I know that... they say duromine can assist with the metabolism, well exercise will do that for me when I have stopped and when I do over indulge or should I say IF I over indulge on a treat ( I am no angel but I also cant afford to go backwards either). I will have my exercise to make me burn that off

Thank you.... My Saturday has been house work so far and fixing a wall feature outside... was time to re-varnish and stain... tomorrow will be more fun... catch up on a movie maybe and see if I can relax and have an easy day.. I am always doing something because there is always something to do ;)

Enjoy your day or night

Hello!
I wanted to join and document my weight loss journey. Background story, lowest weight 44.9kgs (pre kids)
2yrs ago right before marriage I was 57kgs
Started Duromine 15mgs 2 days ago.
SW: 83.5kg
CW: 81kg
GW: 60kg (23.5kgs total to lose)
Dr prescribed Duromine 30mgs but I decided to try 15mgs for a couple of days to get used to it. I'm really worried about the side effects like racing heart & worse headaches.

Day 1:
Took D at 6:00am, felt wide awake and energetic 15 min later. Cleaned whole house before hubby woke up. 2x 1hr walk with dogs & 30 min exercise. 12,600 steps on fit bit.
Breakfast: Oatmeal (couldn't finish it)
Snack: oatmeal, raisin protein ball
Dinner: skinless chicken breast, veggies
Drink: 3L water

Side effects: nausea about the same time the D took effect for approx 15-20 min. Lots of energy & no appetite all day. Approx 3pm got a headache that persisted until I went to bed at 9:30pm. No trouble sleeping.

Day 2(today)
Weighed myself 81kgs! I lost 2.5kgs!
6am took D 15mgs - again energy within 15 min. Cleaned more, laundry done and worked out 30 min. Took dogs for another 1hr walk. Reached my 10,000 steps by 12pm.
Side effects: no nausea today, headache at 1:30pm that is on & off.
Breakfast: Banana yogurt, protein ball
Lunch: chicken wrap
Snack: protein ball
Dinner: 3 vegetable spring rolls (100 cal)
Snack: plain air popped popcorn
Drink: 2.5L water

So far things are going well and I think 15 mg is the right does for me, but I may up the dose in a few days.

Hello AllyM, welcome to the family!

Congratulations on your first weight loss (although at this point it is mostly fluid)! It is great that you have your full time physical activity, but what about your diet? Please share it with us so we could give some advice if anything goes wrong or you are unhappy with the results. Speaking of headaches - people say drinking more water helps a lot. Good luck and wish you the easiest weight loss journey!

Hi Kate! I edited my previous post to include my diet.

Hey there! How’s it going? Did you have a good night’s sleep today? Hope that having just 1 cup of green tea helped you fight the sleep problems. =))

It’s a new week and I want to wish you to finally beat down those 96 and get to the coveted 95. =) You deserve it!!!

Glad to know you’re now strongly addicted to exercises. Weight loss is just one benefit of regular physical activities, and you know it. You know it just as good, as you know that you are a very devoted sweet tooth. ;)) it’s ok to have a treat, unless you keep having them constantly in unlimited amounts. However, I am sure that after this journey, after all the efforts you are making and after all the efforts you still have to make, you won’t let yourself gain it all back.

Poor thing… wheat grass …

Hope, you won’t have to drink anything nasty and will have your biggest wish come true.

Keeping fingers crossed for 95 and wishing you a fantastic day and week!!! Keep it up!
