Every time, I mean every time your updates put a huge smile of content on my face! You go just great! That’s an awesome process you have developed and I am sure the progress will make you happy and satisfied.

It would be good if you would make all basic measurements, and not just the waist. Seeing other places (even the neck) getting slimmer will also make you happy, trust me! =))

Wonder what you will have during the weekend, and if you will enjoy more pool exercises. Btw, there are some good routines on youtube for exercises in water that can help you work through all of your body. And they are quite enjoyable, and even fun. If you don’t/can’t/ have no time to search for these, and are willing to try it, just tell me and I will post the ones I prefer. =) Cheers and keep it going!!!
Thanks April. I will definitely do the measurements and post up in Monday night.

If you could post those pool workouts for me I will definitely try them

Yessssss!! It's the weekend now here is the challenge as I'm generally busy so tend to eat crap food.

Day 6 sleeping in is bliss

Smashed out a 7km walk

Breakie 2eggs scrambled mushrooms tomatoes spinach in a wholemeal wrap - basically left over from last night
Snack no time home chores calling my name
Lunch small tuna rice 4 cherry tomatoes 1/2 avocado (late lunch so by the time I ate I felt hungrier than normal, own fault)
No snack due to late lunch
Dinner homemade mince patty salad sweet potato chips (baked)
4 ltrs of water today

The kids and I went out after all the house work and we would normally eat at the mall but I stopped myself from buying anything and we all came back home to eat. Have to admit I felt pretty chuffed about that!!!

I can't wait to weigh in on Monday but irregardless of the number I'm going to keep going on this journey

See you tomorrow Team D. We got this !!!!!

Hi guys,

Thank you all for your support!! At 160cms tall I know my Doctor says I should be 48 kgs. I know I will NEVER get there but any loss would be great so Im not going to be too hard on myself just slog along and try the hardest I can. First day (yesterday) took my tablet 7am. I got about 4 hours sleep then was wide awake at 3.30am with very dry mouth but no other side effects thus far which is great. Fingers crossed that continues. Did 40 minutes walk both days. Hopefully as I build up I will be able to do more.

Great to have some weight loss buddies! Thanks for your kind words. Cant wait to hear everyone else's successes too

Thanks April how quick did 93 come... its great... I definitely wont forget my water lol oh could i be low 91 by Easter might make that my mini goal

Yes it is nice... and I realised a nice way to say you have lost weight is to say you look good;)

Yes I will reward myself... I am still waiting on another pair to arrive from the US... found a nice cheap site but i got tired of waiting and then brought the other ones recently...

Not feeling the best today so hopefully tomorrow is a better day... I hope you have a wonderful weekend

Dee:)

Saturday 25th March,

Today I weighed 93.5... up 100 thats ok hopefully its gone by tomorrow ;)

I worked outside today in the sun and did some pruning so needless to say I worked up a sweat... I decided to work out later... but i got a crook stomach? anyway... that means I haven't done as much as I would have liked but I still pushed myself to do something when i felt a little better and i thought it might help move things if that was the caseo_O I realise that the gardening is also a mini work out... but i need to ensure I stick with equipment and routine of what I do daily... Ive made enough excuses all my life so unless I am unable to move I wont be able too or maybe I might be able to just do one of the exercises and not another etc so when I can I will and I did... I also know I dont want to over do things either so no bike riding, plank or vibration machine today .. BUT I did do 4 x 15 pilates and 40 minutes zumba boy do I perspire it just pours off me even with a fan..;) so needless to say I drink extra water during the dances

Breakfast was a bowl of cereal and yogurt, a pretend coffee with almond milk...lunch was half a homemade mushroom pizza I made it on a small wrap.. ( I really need some iron at the moment) due to the way I felt my partner cooked 2 eggs and a slice of toast plus spinach for dinner, plus ive had my water and snacks were an apple and 2 mini biscuits (around lunch).... I have also been having a 1/4 teaspoon on manuka honey a day too

That's it for today till tomorrow I hope everyone is having a great weekend

Dee:laughing:

Hi Kyl133. How are you, dear? Any news? Are you still going on with following your dietitian’s recommendations? You’re slowly getting to the end of 1-month course. How is it going so far? Are you planning to continue for another month? Take care!
Hi April Hun,

I have been on the 30mg for a month now and have Recently switched to the 40mg dose. I thought by switching to the higher dose it may increase a faster weight loss outcome. I have been eating so lean haven't had one cheat day since I started duromine a month ago.

I have lost so far 8.5kg on duromine and doing my 30 min phyiso excerises to help my back muscles built up. although I have been on the 40mg for a week today Sunday (26th march) I find I've only been losing maybe 1.5kg max a week? Is that quite normal?

Sunday 26th March,

Today's weight.... drum roll... 93.1 it would mean a lot if I am in 92 tomorrow.. not only does it mark my weekly weigh in it also means getting to low 91 in 2 weeks will be very possible all being well... if not... I know it wont be far away

I had oats for breakfast, plus a pretend coffee with almond milk, snacked on 3 cristini sticks, 3 mini licorice pieces and an apple, lunch was a slice of cheese, an egg, a mini sausage, baked beans on toast, dinner was half a home made pizza- mushroom ;) I have had lots of water

Zumba was 45 min today, 2km on the bike 20 fast 10 slow, 4 x 15 pilate machine and 1 x 35 sec plank:)

Till tomorrow:)

Day 3 hasn't been great, had nasty headache all day. Did a 35 minute walk today and tried to power through but insomnia again tonight :( Hoping this passes soon as after a day or two of little sleep I tend to break out in cold sores. Hopefully will all level out soon

I am happy for you too, Mission_75! You did a great job!:)

And I hope the weekend didn't ruin anything in your routine, because you deserve to keep moving towards lesser numbers on your scales. Mmm love quinoa! Could you please share the recipe of your salad? I would appreciate it.

Hi Kyl133,

I must say your results are more than great. And I think that 1.5 kg loss per week is not bad at all. Actually, on the contrary - slow and steady weight loss is beneficial for the skin and overal health. Let's hope the 40 mg dose won't provoke new side effects. Just stick to your diet / exercise plan and your loss will be regular, I am sure. Because it is not Duromine that gives you the loss, but your own efforts, the pills just eliminate your hunger. I think you're doing great! Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I feel for you, Supremekerry!

Try to drink more water to avoid headaches, sometimes it's all you need to feel better. Other than that, give it some time, so your body gets used to the pills. If you still struggle with insomnia, then try some tricks: air the bedroom before sleep, drink some camomile or linden tea, melissa will do too, try to relax an hour before planning to go to bed. Like stay away from TV, computer or your smartphone. Better - read a book (only not on the led display as it also agitates your eyes). Turn on some relaxing music, take a warm shower with your favorite shower gel. Or even take a bath for 20 minutes. You can also add there some camomile extract (made from tea bags, why not), some aroma candle maybe. Turn down the lights and ask your partner to do a light massage of your entire body, it is very relaxing.

I wish you all the best, and especially a good sleep as it is the key of healthy body!

May I join your D tem, MzJaxon82?

Wow! I mean wow, the fact that you stay so strong during the weekend, being at the mall and avoiding the junk food, brings you some applause! I know how hard it is to break your habits, especially when temptations are everywhere. And I admire your 7 km walk, are you kidding me?? It's a LOT! Bravo! I read all your updates, dear, and you do great. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Kate I will try - except for the bath unfortunately small place = no bath.

Day 4 kicks off with only two hours sleep 5 - 7am. Took my tablet as soon as I got out of bed as I did have it bit later (8.30am) yesterday. Other days took it at approx 7 - 7.30. Did the school run and then went for 40 minute walk but my calf muscles ached terribly all the way. Maybe its from lack of sleep? Only had maybe 10 hours sleep across 3 days and last night only 2 hours. Has anyone had this aching calf muscles? There was nothing special about the walk, same way I have walked each day, same shoes, same clothes.

Will try to do another walk this afternoon. Have been drinking about 3 litres of water each day. No sign of any weight loss yet but I have promised myself to only weigh once a week so any little fluctuations dont excite / disappoint.

Just realised I should probably write this as a blog instead. Sorry if I annoy, just writing down thoughts as I think of them. I love the extra brain energy!! hehe

Hey Supremekerry! Read both this post and your blog entry. You choose the way you prefer writing your thoughts. However, many people find it easier to track down their progress in a thread. In blogs, it’s either you make a new entry every time and have to search for earlier ones, or you “comment” on your only entry, which is quite the same as a thread. =)

I am so sorry to hear you keep having sleep problems. You really do need to sleep better, I understand. Insomnia is a side effect that usually doesn’t last longer than the first 5 days. That is, of course, if you find a perfect schedule for taking Duromine. Did you consider trying to take it at about 5 am? Many people do so. They wake up, have the pill and go back to sleep. This helps avoid insomnia, too. Fingers crossed for a better sleep this night.

Calf muscles… yes, it can be the consequence of deficient sleep or it can be caused by your increased physical activity. I see you drink enough water already. What about your eating regime?

I can understand how difficult it can be to actually stop eating unhealthy food and even though you stopped using it as a tool to protect yourself, it became something that comforts you. The way I helped myself get out of this was cooking beautiful dishes and serving them the way they would make me happy. I talked myself into enjoying the process of picking the best and healthiest products, and then cooking them and make them look as if I was preparing them for a catalog photo. You can still enjoy your food. Some restrictions don’t imply you to gnaw on a celery stalk all day long and smile. =) make your food colorful, fragrant. You can use spices and herbs, it’s ok. Fresh juicy vegetables and fruit, best lean cuts of meat, fish, hot soft-boiled eggs, fresh and juice cottage cheese. All these make up a perfect and a wonderful menu. Sprinkle it with a very small amount of nuts and seeds, and you’re on top!

Best of luck to you! I am sure you can do it! This is not “another diet”. This is something you must go all the way through and you will cope with the task! Cheers!

Hey hey!!! Everything’s looking good! Well done for the weekend! BRAVO for all the efforts and achievements. You already started breaking some serious habits, which is so great! You really did have a reason to be pretty chuffed! =)) Saving yourself and your kids from fast food is an amazing success!

Love the menu, as always, and the 7 km walk is WOHOOO!!!

I am also looking forward to your results for the first week and I am so happy to know that no matter what they show, you are willing to go on with changing your life to the healthier side. Way to go! Have a great day and a wonderful new week!

Hi sweetie! I am so happy I didn’t miss the happy moment! =)) Amm.. I know that you will hit that new mini-goal. Oh Easter will be a challenge to all of us… Getting down to 91 by then will be a huge achievement and I am sure you will be already on the 90 mark (crossing myself entirely. Not just the fingers). That would be a fantastic present for yourself from yourself AND a great motive to not break into some huge indulgence. =))

Well done with exercising and eating. So sorry you had stomach problems. And still, you didn’t give up and continued going to your goal. BRAVO and applause!

Looking forward to your next update and wish you a great new week!

Oh hey! Finally some news from you! And what news that is! GREAT! Congratulations on your weight loss! Another congratulations on your commitment! You deserve applause for all the effort! Kate is right, it is you, who makes it happen, and you are doing great!

Agree with Kate, 1.5 kg is the result you should be very happy with! It’s a great result. AND if you were losing more, you would have to fight sagging skin, and no one likes it, agree? Nice and steady. All these will sum up in a pretty decent amount of kilos lost. =))

You’re doing great so keep it up! A lovely new week to you, Kyl!
