@Mammaof2, I think there is a difference. When I took a closer look at the photo, it seems to me that your neck and upper part of the back are smaller. And the abdomen area looks smaller, as well. And the rear side =) is rounder. DO you exercise, or it’s just due to the muscle tension when you decorate the cakes? If you have the opportunity to introduce any exercises, it will do heaps good for your figure. I have a feeling that your body will be shaping seriously, if you add any loads. For example, when you are decorating, or making the decorations, you can set an alarm clock for every 30 minutes, for example, and do a set of exercises at a fast pace. For example, first, you do 20 lunges, then 20 squats, then 20 pushups with your hands pressed against a wall, then you do exercises for the breast area, like these:

it will extend the time that it takes you to do the decoration, BUT you will tone your body without noticing it, and will slowly increase endurance. A huge advantage is that you will not let blood flow slow down in your pelvic area and will let your spine have its portion of movements.

@Bilby80 Heeeey. C’mon hop back on track! Let this period of partying be your “alternation”. Now focus on keeping to your proper nutrition and increase the loads. This will provide a serious calories deficiency, and you can lose the weight you gained during this period a bit faster. Don’t be scared of the scales. Just keep in mind that you need to continue like nothing happened – in a merry and motivated manner. Fingers crossed for a good week for you!

@Ashleigh, welcome! Make this beginning of the weight loss journey a new chapter of your life and enjoy making the illustrations to it with the changes in your body. Drink more water, eat properly and increase your physical activity, and, of course, best of luck!

Thanks @April, appreciate the support! And welcome @Ashleigh95!
I weighed in at 96.7kgs this morning, so I put on .5 - but I’m ok with that. I actually expected much worse, so it’s a set back but not devastating.
Have a great week everyone xx

Thanks @April , I've been scrutinising those pictures too haha :) I've not really been exercising, I will get on to it once my big cakes are done this weekend. I appreciate your support. I'll keep going. :)
@Bilby80 - .5 is a big poop lol , you'll be right. :laughing:
Hi @Ashleigh95 - Welcome!!

I weighed in at 89.0 this week, so .5 lost. - that's a 3.3 kilo loss in total. Going to try and keep my wits about me this weekend - it's my daughters birthday party. And next week we've got Christmas with our friends and its our turn to host. eeek!

Hope you guys are all well!! xo

=)) Now that is going to be a HUGE sequence of holidays. There are some tricks that can help you eat less while on a party:
  1. Talk with people A LOT
  2. If dancing is involved – DANCE and have most fun
  3. If any games – take part in every of them
  4. Drink water (if you know that you will have alcohol, skip Duromine this day and drink the same amount of water after every drink you have when having wine or light cocktails, and three times more water after every shot of spirit). This will allow you to avoid dehydration and you will definitely be incapable of eating a lot. You will be so full =))
  5. When there are tens of delicious dishes that are so inviting, choose three of them and enjoy every single bite you take. Chew slowly, enjoying the flavor. If you can avoid the cake after a hearty feast – do your best to not eat it. If you can’t, place a small piece on your plate and, like before, enjoy every bite. But make these bites as small as possible. Thus, you might “have enough” of cake before you finish it.
I am not sure that you know… just for some informational purposes… the very first bite of something that we want to eat provides the highest satisfaction. With every further bite, the level of satisfaction lowers and we eat simply because we eat. So, it might be a good idea to taste every dish that you like, but just in one perfect bite of each. I hope that makes sense. I wonder if you try the experiment and if it works.

Either way, I wish you great holidays and my warmest wishes to your precious daughter. May her willpower and decisiveness help her achieve every goal in her life, and may she proudly say that she got them from her wonderful mother =))

Sorry for the long post… cheers!

Oh @April thank you for all those tips!! :)
I survived the birthday party! No issues. Now just for Christmas Dinner this saturday.

My scales have finally moved, only another 500gms, but that is total of 3.8 kilos in less than a month. I know its not a big number, but I am happy with that. Woo Hoo!

How are the rest of you going? @Bilby80 @ShelleyBris @Ashleigh95

Well done! Christmas is a tough challenge =)) one more trick to add here… If people are coming to your place and you’re cooking, I am sure there will be a lot of leftovers (it usually happens with me like that, I just can’t get enough of cooking the goodies). I usually have some take-out containers and “equip” people with a second-day lunch and dessert. Or do my best to stop at three-four dishes for each meal, if I am desperate to have them all. Either way, I am sure you will enjoy the cooking and the party. =) Again, BRAVO on surviving the party and congrats on the weight loss. Every gram counts, when we’re losing. Even if you manage to maintain the weight or gain no more than a kilogram during the holidays it will be a huge success!

I also wonder how are other ladies doing…

Hello lovely ladies! I haven’t managed to read up on the posts I’ve missed but I just wanted to drop by for the weekly check in.
I’ve lost 1.9kgs this week so down to 94.8 - not bad considering i was still messing up the first day (I’m still kicking myself over wasting a week)
I’m ITCHING to get into the 80’s!!
If I’m not back before then, have a wonderful (and healthy!) Xmas! Xx

Merry Christmas Guys!!

Hi guys! Just checking in.
I had a shocking New Year’s Eve, got myself some heatstroke! Recovered now thankfully.
Weight wise I went to 86.9, and today I am back upto 87.4 so still really slow. My shape has changed though.
Hope you are all going well.

Hi Everyone,

Cant see allot of activity in the forums or maybe i am looking in the wrong places..

Anywayyyy i just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself.

Im 35..2 kids and work in the beauty industry(skincare) as a rep....so feel like im always on "show".Im originally from South Africa but been in New Zealand for the lat 12 years.Weight has always been an issue for me.I remembered going on my first diet when i was only 14.. not good..wish i knew better.Long story short...2 kids on and i find myself yet again on another diet.Name the diets and i have tried them.

So woke up on the 1st of Jan..joined the gym...found a gym buddy and started working out .This morning i decided to see my GP and ask for duromine( i read up about it soooo much about it)The GP was real lovely..lol maybe my tears helped. She popped me on the 15mg.

I feel like i am prepped for all side effects ect that is coming my way ..

QUESTION - i use Zopiclone (helps for insomnia) when i travel for work every now and again. Will i be able to use them while on duromine? If anyone know that will be great.
Thanks so much :)

Hiiii @Beyleveld!!

I used to work at a cosmetic clinic doing admin. I definitely understand being on show. My skin was judged harshly but I picked up some good tips on products and treatments, so at least my skin is taken care of now!

My weight has very much yo-yo'd since I was 15. I'm 30 now so have been rollercoasting between health and sabotage constantly, or so it feels. I've been on Duromine before with some success, however my failing was not using it as the great tool it is, and eating one meal a day of pure crap which meant I didn't learn what healthy eating is. I'm the heaviest Ive ever been now .

I had the driest mouth on it before, so water is your friend . How have the past few days been for you? I have my GP appt in 2 weeks so will do the best I can until then.

Speak soon,
Amber

Hi @Mammaof2!!

Your tummy is shrinking! How do you feel about your results so far? Heatstroke is pure evil. Did you need to go to hospital?

Speak soon,

Hi guys! Jumping in here to say hello as I’m not sharing with anyone I’m doing this but found this forum and thought it would be useful to connect with people on the same journey! I’m turning 30 this year and the weight has crept up on my the past couple of years so I’ve got 15kgs to lose (currently 95kg). I’m starting tomorrow! I’m nervous but excited.

Thanks Amber. Yes my body is definitely shrinking! :) No I didn't need the hospital, but was bad enough to just be a couch potato.

How is everyone today?

@Mammaof2 WOW! The change is obviously there! You go girl! =)) And no more heatstroke, please! Take care and keep pushing towards your goal!

@Beyleveled! Way to go! You started exercising even before getting on Duromine! Looks like you’re definitely into the weight loss campaign! Best of luck! As for Zopiclone and Duromine… Duromine is a CNS stimulant and Zopiclone depresses the activity of CNS. These two should not be taken together. But you take Duromine in the morning, and Zopiclone at bedtime, so the time window between these two is quite long. As far as I know, no side effects were reported as yet. Still, it is always important to monitor your condition when you take any RX drugs.

@Stef, best of luck! Make yourself the best birthday present ever – get healthier and happy with your body! F45 – WOW! Topped with Duromine, it should work perfectly well for your goal. The only thing to keep the track of is your heart rate. Duromine can increase it quite seriously, so monitor the way you feel during these High Intensity trainings, and stop if you feel any discomfort in your chest area. Excessive sweating also possible, so hydrate yourself well.

Hey how’s the weight loss going?

Thanks @Bilby80! Admittedly the before phone pic is probably 2-3 weeks before i started duro. There is A difference. Even my bottom haha
My scales are from Kmart - so I will buy new ones soon.

Oh I hear you about the kids. My 2 are feral, especially this time of year.
Speaking of Cakes - it was my husband’s birthday on Tuesday, I made him a cake. We all had a piece each and it’s just been on the kitchen bench. Usually, I would have polished it off by now. It’s still there, the Kids are just having a piece after school each day. I’m happy for the changes even though they are ‘drug’ assisted ones.

I hope you have a better day today!! X
Hi @Mammaof2

Love the photos, they are massively different, well done !!!! AND not eating all the cake is super strong.

I caved over Christmas and have pavlova AHAHAHH, but back on target.

Glad to have you here and joining all of us.

Cheers
