Hi Jessica! Thanks for your message. y weight has been up and down for most of my life, particularly in the last few years.
I think, like a lot of people, I became too ‘Insta’ influence and gym ‘fearful’, therefore, I gave up. COVID restrictions initially added to this, but o found the limited outside time a benefit, as I made a conscious decision to use this time to exercise! Hopefully this is an added extra to my weight loss journey!

Hi Tyler ;)

We are all different, so are our bodies. The Duromine effect depends on the dose you take, the treatment duration, your lifestyle, and your personal characteristics.

Yeah... This lockdown has played a bad with us. But there is no time for regrets. Now it's all yours! Good luck!:heart:

Hey, @TylerD90210 :) Have you started already? How is it going?
Hi. Yes started this week!
Day Four now. Haven’t noticed any changes in weight, but have had the classic side effects such as no sleep for two nights and lack of appetite. However, by Day Three I slept well.
Finding I’m drinking a lot of water.

@TylerD90210
That's great that you drink plenty of water. It is vital to stay hydrated.
Did you change your diet? What about physical activity?

How is your weight today? Did you lose any kilo?

@TylerD90210 I'm glad to hear that the side effects are gone. Please keep us updated :kissing_heart:

Hi @TylerD90210 how is it going? Do you have any side effects?

Hi all,
I’m Missy, I’m a permanent resident of NZ originally from California/Oregon USA(don’t hold that against me, I voted against Trump in both elections) ;-) I’m struggling hard at losing weight I’ve piled on during the pandemic. Mostly stress from worries about my family back home. I’ve seen a Dr here and all my medical tests are great but she is hesitant to prescribe the medication because she does not like it. I go back again in two weeks to discuss it again. I’ve used phentermine after having my kids and it really helped kick start my weight loss. So I’m extremely discouraged. I have no other options for Dr.s here and I’m just feeling hopeless. It’s a hard struggle. I don’t know if it’s worth paying to get access to chances of buying it while living here? Not that I don’t value support, as I do. But it would be great to have support and the medication to help lol . Anyway, I’m really keen to start being healthy, it would just be awesome to have help controlling those comfort based urges!

Hi MissyAnne,

My Dr is VERY hesitant to prescribe it too, so she arranged for me to get free 6 dietitian appointments first, to help with my diet and then she gave me the script.

I have only ever used 1 script back in 2018, so was only ever on it for max 30 days, and now I'm back on it and on day 5.

Maybe have a chat to your GP and see if you can get a similar option, that may help reassure your GP you are trying everything.

Best of luck
Shelley

Hi Shelley,
My Dr does have me on a list to see a nutritionist but I’ve yet to hear from them. The wait times I find for follow up appointments and especially any specialist is extremely long here. I will kick up a bit of fuss next appointment as the last two she said she’d follow up on getting it scheduled.
I don’t have horrible eating habits, we eat healthy but I crave carbs when I’m stressed. Potatoes, Pasta, Breads and maybe salty chips. I’m not into sweets which I guess is good, one less thing to worry about. Hopefully I can get my GP to understand this little boost goes along way in helping with cravings and getting back on a better way of eating. Getting habits set while on the medicine and having that kickstart.

Hi, @MissyAnne , you can try 15 mg to see how it works for you, it shouldn't harm you.
