I also took Duromine previously in 2011 and lost 15kg in 10 weeks. Now on my second time and want to lose 20-25 kg. Day one today and I had a horrible headache.

Hey, Vix :)
Good luck you too!!
This time you should include a completely different meal plan to your daily routine. Small meals, 4-6 times a day, including meat, veggies, greens, fruit, nuts, eggs and plently of water. Since you have a good history of exercising, I am calm - you can do everything right! ;)
So I wish you to succeed from all my heart. Don't give up if you feel like things don't go like you expected, because it takes time.
Thanks lovely
Started this morning and actually ate breakfast and done the treadmill
Drinking like a trooper and still hungry but I'm sure that will settle in a couple days
Here's to less of me xxxx

I have weighed in - I'm super duper close to my first mini goal of 79.4kg, it was 79.5kg yesterday!

Hey all, I'm new here, I have had my son, 20 months ago... and I've tried EVERYTHING to lose weight, after getting on the mini pill and putting on 20kg in 3 months (not even dramatising). This is my LAST resort, before going to my dr. I would like to know the worst side effects and how long they last... I just want to lose weight. 86kg to at least 65-70 :) thanks for your time.

Woo hoo Aurora..!! I weighed in at 74.5 today.. don't usually weigh in until Friday's.. whoops - had to know what they read after visiting the ensuite.. lol. ' That time' is threatening to start, so feeling the bloat and uncomfortability it comes with as well..

Hi Kiki... wow - 6kg in a week is huge!! You must be over the moon with that. Wishing you continued success

Hello mother of one...

Side effects I have experienced- no sleep for 3 days!! A few hours each night thereafter. Constipation - having to take laxettes to help. Dry mouth and i am sure not so great breath.. Suppressed appetite to a degree..

For a young mum... sleep deprivation is likely to effect you.. sleep when your son does through the day..! Take care of his young love for you and try not to be grumpy when you are tired.. xx

Wow?! how?!!

Hi Mum of one - i'm also using Duromine as a last resort. As I mentioned in the shoutout box - the dry mouth and sleep problems have been the worst for me. I've had others that probably aren't Duromine related. (eg, the first few days I had nagging headaches in the afternoons and on Day 3 I was so tired i could barely move - but this, my doctor tells me, was sugar withdrawal - not a side effect of the tablet)
I haven't suffered with constipation at all - probably because I'm drinking 2-3 Litres of water a day to combat the dry mouth.
Having said that - everyone is different, you may get others.

I think its important to talk about the good side effects.
Now, I'm a big lady. At a starting weight off 101kg - its pretty obvious I loves me fried foods and avoid the gym at all costs.
On Duromine, I experienced a massive shift. It was so much easier to say "no" to things I knew were bad for me. I don't have to fight so hard every time someone offers me a tim tam. Putting food in my mouth didn't become this massive thing anymore. I WANT to eat healthy - because the bad food seems to have lost its pulling power. I cant really describe it.

Also, despite feeling pretty tired from the weird sleep I've been getting, (other posts suggests this goes away after a few weeks. I've just got to 7 days so im not there yet) I STILL have the energy to get up at 5 am for a 45 min walk and spend 60 min at the gym each night.
I had LESS energy when I got home from work and sat on the couch with netflix and a bucket of KFC for 6 hours before heading to bed for a full nights rest.

I hope that helps

Wow that does help thanks for that! I can't wait to start it. I want to use it to drop the first 10-15kgs or 2-4 months, not forever, I want to drop the last 10-15kg by myself. I've read about worse side effects, and I'm not too worried, I have my partner to keep my head straight. ;)
I can't wait to get fit and healthy.

I got my Duromine yesterday and started today. So far I feel absolutely great. Have never had so much energy ever! Will keep you updated on how it goes.
Almost no appetite but I saw on here you should still eat so trying to do that.

Hi Sammy.. Yes. You need to still eat. This is a great time to reset choices.. choose well for yourself. Water too - keep it with you! Good luck with your journey!

Hi there,

Can you put me in the right direction in where I can get them without a prescription. I'm in Australia

Thank you
